Buffet Brazilian Sabor de Minas — Restaurant in Melbourne

I'd seen the restaurant while driving by and thought it might be interesting for dinner. So we went yesterday and found that the buffet was only from 11:00 to 5:00. But the young lady who works there saw us and was helpful indicating that they were open for pizza till 9:00. So we tried one of their Brazilian style pizzas. Delicious. It had ham, chicken, olives, cheese and corn. It's a family owned and run restaurant; we met the charming Brazilian family. We look forward to trying the full buffet. We decided to go back for the buffet tody at 1:30.....it was delicious. What a friendly atmosphere and it's nice to visit a family owned business. Even dad was there today and...

BEWARE!! PRICES ARE NOT ACCURATELY DISPLAYED. I went with friends for a late lunch after work and while the food was delicious, it was so wildly overpriced. The sign in front said 10.90 but when we got the register to check out it was over $90 for 3 people!!!! One person was a vegetarian so he only ate 1 plate of rice and beans! Absolute insanity. We could have gone to the Brazilian Stake house in the mall for that price. We could have gone almost anywhere else for that price. I was blown away by that price tag. Not worth it at all. In this economy it feels very scam-y to display one price but charge a different one. The food was good. There were not very many choices. But the pan fried chicken...

If you want really good homemade food this is your place. Hardy Brazilian food for the right price. They have the option of all you can eat buffet or by the weight of food you dish on your plate.

They also offer pizza - not sure if it's every day or only weekends after 5 pm. But they are also amazing and totally worth trying. We just had their "creamy chicken" also known as "frango com catupiry"and it was was legit.

So far my family only had heat experiences with the place, we have been there for times now and everyone we bring along...
