Immoral, juvenile, and pathetic business practice.
TL;DR: price gouging, manipulative website design and in-store experience.
After jacking up the price of a stuffed crust pizza to $13 (for less than $1 in cheese and 15 seconds of preparation), that price only includes one topping? And you charge $2 per additional topping? And that is only printed in smaller font and in a color closer to the background of the page? It's technically legal so it must be morally correct, right? ... For the other people reading this, did you know that the more toppings you choose, the less of each topping you get? Pizza Hut isn't actually charging you $2.00 for a fixed helping of toppings. They're charging you $2.00 for the privilege of replacing some of the toppings you've already paid for with a different one. They don't need to tell you this because they aren't selling you an AMOUNT of a topping. They're just selling you the SELECTION of toppings. 16 pieces of pepperoni also doesn't cost anywhere close to $2.00, even if you buy from a quality brand, and ESPECIALLY for a company which can buy in bulk. What a depressing place Pizza Hut has become. To be fair, Domino's does the same, but they only charge $0.50 to $1.00 per topping which is much closer to the actual cost.
Continuing... Your website is designed to make people think they have to leave a tip (with the lowest preset being 18%) and not leaving a tip requires entering in a "custom tip" of $0.00. As if trying to guilt customers into tipping wasn't shallow enough, when I arrived at the store to pick up my order, I was asked to leave a tip... AGAIN. I wish I was joking.
Not even including the 5-10x price gouge on non-pizza products, if it was just an expensive pizza, fine. But, you seriously want me to leave TWO TIPS for a pizza that I picked up myself? You've already charged me two tips worth in toppings per pizza and I'm doing my own delivery!
I didn't expect to find my local Pizza Hut trying so extremely hard to exploit and guilt their customers, especially given the demographic of elderly people, veterans, and elderly veterans in our area. There aren't words to describe how insulting and malign your business...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars I would. I've never had an issue ordering from this store. The order i just placed was missing my son's boneless wings, and two dipping sauces because the store employees didn't give them to the door dasher. The door dasher apologized for the issue and I followed up with a call to the store to see what was going on. Once I was finally able to reach a live person, I was told "Oh, your wings are right here." 🤦♂️ I asked what they were going to do and they said we'll send it out shortly. A different door dash driver made it by with the rest of my order, but the language barrier and lack of communication was a huge issue. He was under the impression I was paying for the wings. After google translate saved the day, he understood that Pizza Hut dropped the ball and I had already paid for them. I felt bad for the guy and gave him a nice tip for getting stuck in the middle of this cluster f. Why Pizza Hut decided to axe their delivery drivers for Door Dash is beyond me, but they dropped the ball. This will definitely be my last order...
Read moreThe manager working on oct 28th 7pm, Brad, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I came here for an SCHEDULED interview and he made me wait an hour before letting me know that they’re “not hiring,” even though i asked why he would accept the interview and keep signs up saying highering urgently. To this he responded “I don’t know” and made no comments on how he absolutely wasted my time. After all of this, I decided to order a pizza before leaving since I already spent the last hour here (mistake). While ordering, he rolled his eyes at me while I was telling him my order and proceeded to give me an attitude.Mind you, throughout this whole experience I haven’t don’t anything rude or disrespectful to Brad. I didn’t even comment on how purposely had me wait in the lobby for an hour for nothing. With this being said, he had no reason to act the way he did because the first time i’m speaking up about his behavior is through...
