This is a hidden gem in the heart of downtown Melrose. It is a wonderful neighborhood spot with delicious homemade and comfort foods. They have mouth watering pizzas, grinders, calzones, wraps, paninis, dinners, salads and much more! My personal favorites are the chicken parmigiana, spaghetti with meat balls, gyro, eggplant parmigiana and the chicken kabab dinner. The servings are huge and you can definitely get a good two servings depending on your appetite. Their prices are reasonable and affordable. Melrose House of Pizza is very cozy and clean. They have tables so you can eat in, take out or order for delivery. Their delivery is very quick and there's no fee except you tip the driver. The owner and his family are very friendly, nice, down to earth, and always have a smile and a kind word. This is definitely one of my favorite places to eat. Stop by and give it a try. I always ordered a large cheese for a pick up and always close my eye on how the insiders treat their customers! But this time, i mean they can use a tiny bit Of customer service! So I called in today to order and kindly told the guy (Albanian accent who picks up the phone) to make sure my pizza is not too salty like it was yesterday) and the guy couldn’t be more rude! I’ve only just discovered this pizza shop. Honestly, I would’ve never known about this establishment if I hadn’t to be on Main St last week, and seen a woman from the shop window devouring a slice of cheese pizza. Seeing her caused me to turn my car around and purchase 2 slices of cheese pizza. The perfect cheese/tomato sauce/crust ratio. Not salty and overly seasoned.
