First I will start by saying the cakes from this place are absolutely amazing. Back in 2018 There was a miscommunication with the cake that was requested for a baby shower. Due to the miscommunication the person said we would be issued at 75 dollar credit. This was communicated verbally and was told all I would need to do is say our name or our phone number. Let’s fast forward to today. They remember everything about the order and service except the price and now they want to only issue a 25 dollar credit and stated that if I don’t have an email then there is nothing they can do. Funny how if they dont have an email how would I have email. Emails work both ways. Nobody emailed me and again back in 2018 it was stated that all I needed to do was say my name or provide my phone number. I understand times are harder but it’s not right to go back on your word especially if you pride yourself in customer service. I really appreciate that Sweet Spot will accommodate nut allergies! This past winter we got our first cake from them--a chocolate mousse birthday cake, which was perfect, no complaints. This month, I went back for a coconut cake with coconut frosting. While the flavor of coconut both cake and frosting were both delicious, the ratio of frosting to cake was way too high. There was very little cake and way too much frosting for my family's taste, and it's hard to imagine anyone would be happy to have so much frosting and so little cake! Next time I order from them, I'll specifically request only one thin layer of frosting inside the cake (instead of two), and a thinner layer of frosting on the outside of the cake. There were many of other treats at the bakery that looked beautiful and delicious, which I look forward to trying...

Shannon at Sweet Spot bakery made us an absolutely amazing wedding cake for our wedding at Cruiseport Gloucester. From our tasting to seeing the final product, she was so professional, flexible, and always happy to help. She was extremely responsive to our emails and questions which we did not see with other bakers we reached out to. We were pretty indecisive because all of her flavors were AMAZING and she helped us narrow it down to four different flavors (one per each tier of our cake!) and everyone at our wedding made comments about how good the cake was. We were able to take some of the extra cake home and ended up going back to her 3 weeks later to order a birthday cake for our family because we just couldn’t get enough!
