My grandparents would take me to StarLites in SW Detroit when i was a child after that i couldnt find a place who could replace their spot, until now ! My favorite dish to order is cheese crepes which apparently not all polish restaurants make the same. i have been searching for a place who makes it with the thick textured cottage type of cheese rather than the liquid syrup consistency that i kept finding everywhere else. I was so pleased when my order came and i saw that deliscious white thick cheese wrapped in these perfectly golden blankets topped with powder sugar! They tasted just like the ones i grew up on but it doesnt stop there believe me it gets better. Next we ordered their stuffed cabbage. I paid 6$ for 2 stuffed cabbages at Sabina's and when i got my order i was so shocked at how big these rolls actually were, other places charge for a decent cabbage roll or they over charge for this tiny appetizer size roll. They also have fresh and smoked kielbasa! I am so thrilled that i live down the street from them. I guess the only down fall is they have a packed restaurant, but...

We all got combination plates. My fiancée and I both got the regular polish sausage and it was great. His mom got the smoked sausage, and we both liked her's better, because it had a stronger flavor. It was my first time trying a perogi, and I didn't care for them...however, everyone else said they were amazing. They tried the cheddar ones (they have cheddar, potato, and sauerkraut). His mom had a fried potato pancake, and that was good. The cabbage roll was awesome...so was the sauerkraut😋😋😋.
I walked around and saw other people's food, and asked people what they were having, to decide what I wanted, and everyone was so nice!! The guy next to us had the hunters stew...that looked amazing, and he said it was really good.
We got a free dessert of the crumb cake since we were from out of state and it was our first time here.
Service was outstanding.
We would definitely come back and eat here...
