We visited this establishment for the first time yesterday since moving downriver 4 years ago. If it was possible to give zero stars I would. We had an absolutely awful experience and I will NEVER give my business to this place again. I had my two young daughters and a friend of mine brought her son. I explained to the employee at the counter that we had never been there before and I began asking questions about the prices. We explained what attractions the kids wanted to do and then she suggested one particular package. It was the 3 attraction plus 50 tokens package. Her explanation of the packages was not always sufficiently clarifying so I was asking a lot of questions to make sure I understood what I was paying for. So I asked her if one child chooses one attraction does that mean that the other kids cannot participate if they don't choose that attraction. It wouldn't make sense to bring 3 children here and then they can't play together. She said that all 3 children would be able to use the one attraction. It was my understanding (based on what exactly she said) that the kids could use 3 different attractions. So we intended on playing laser tag, using the arcade and the bounce house. My friend and I also paid for laser tag separately so we could play. We started with laser tag. While we sat back there waiting for an employee to let us in ( because there's no sign or anything directing the CUSTOMER to go and HUNT down an employee) no one came, so we went to find the ONE employee that was fixing multiple broken arcade games. We were told he was the "owner's son" and was the only one that knew how to run the laser tag. So again, we went and waited. After another 10-15 min of waiting we decided to let the kids go to the bounce house. 30 minutes later we went back to the laser tag only to have to hunt down this employee again. When we finally went to play he said that we didn't pay for the children to play, only us 2 adults. I went back to the front counter to discuss this with the employee that sold us the package. All of a sudden her explanation was different than when we initially paid. She said the children chose the bounce house and if they wanted to play laser tag we would have to pay an additional $30. So I said ok so I just paid $55 after explaining exactly what we wanted, and now I have to pay another $30? Just wondering what sense it made for her to charge the two ADULTS to play laser tag only??? Apparently she thought we would leave our children unattended so we could play?? So I decided to let my friend and her son play the laser tag we paid for and I took my daughters to the bounce house. I told the "owner's son" that they were going to play (as he was fixing yet another broken machine) and he said for them to go back there and wait for him. 20 MINUTES later they came back to me and she said they were STILL waiting for him. He walked by me and I asked him if he was going to let them play. He very rudely replied "yea I was just back there and they weren't there" After MORE waiting, they finally were able to play!!! Such a wasted 2 hours of my time... not to mention we lost about 10 tokens in broken games and I wasn't going to ask for assistance after he was so tied up fixing so many other broken games. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a place like this. Obviously understaffed, poorly ran, and a RIP OFF. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!! ...
Read moreThis is by far the worst play house I have ever been to. Most of the machines does not work, they are over priced, and the customer service sucks. As a parent you look around and see the issues even though your little ones are running around having fun in spite of the complaints we may have. As the manager was walking past I spoke to him and had not planned on saying anything but, since we were crossing each other path I said why not. I proceeded to tell him that half of the machines didn’t work. He immediately began to speak in a very stern and loud voice saying 'you can’t get a refund if you don’t tell me what machine’. I said to him most of the machines I have tried. He says again in that same stern and even louder voice ‘can’t get a refund if you don’t tell me what machine.’ First of all, I didn’t ask for a refund I just wanted to make him aware that the machines didn’t work. I wasn’t upset until I saw the hard exterior of his attitude. As I read the reviews I see a lot of people were saying the same thing that the machines does not work. Therefore, this leads me to believe that he is already aware of this issue and had the opportunity at that moment to show some customer service and a apology for there faulty machines. I did express how I felt too a very nice young lady behind the counter about the manager. She apologized and made our evening end pleasantly. I selected two small items I wanted to pay for, for my toddlers since the machines that did work didn’t spit out tickets, and she gave them complementary because of our experience. I wish I would have gotten her name so she could be recognized and the owner would hire more people like her. As I think back she was the only worker in that place that...
Read moreOne star review. CUSTOMERS BEWARE. We visited on 03/23/2024. Staff didn't open the building until 30 minutes after their listed hours. Staff was not welcoming, staff was rude to multiple guests. A kid who hit his head off the wall after sliding down the wave bouncer went to the front counter to tell them what happened and the man at the counter didn’t ask if he was okay, he only interrogated him accusing him of doing it himself saying “what did you do? Run? Jump? Were you climbing the bounce?” I was informed after arrival with bag in hand, no cake/cup cakes, no balloons, no gifts, no party bags unless you rent a party room. Which is $199 and above… I had a party of 2… play Atlantis used to be a nice place. Now it’s a place where the customers are treated no more than a cheap dollar sign. They don’t treat their customers well. You’re better off going to chuck E cheeses (and that’s saying a lot) or urban air. At least urban air and sky zone know how to treat their patrons from the moment they walk through the door. Play Atlantis used to be a family friendly environment. Now it’s a “spend your money and get out in 2 hours or less while the staff walks around telling its customers all the things they can’t do.” This place used to be a blast and packed. We used to go every weekend. However, the most recent visit was about “3-6 years ago”, now it’s less busy on the weekend, which now I know why. Prices are too high, the environment from the staff is terrible. It was so bad, the staff didn’t even appear to want to be there. Their is no customer service...
