If I could give zero stars I would! I went to agavos on a Saturday night (11/16/24) and I was asked before seating to give up my ID & bank card with matching names so me thinking okay I know how ppl dine and dash so I had no problem with it! Mind you before my order was brought out I wanted to go ahead and pay so I wouldn’t have to when I got up to leave. We had some drinks so my mind slipped on asking my waiter for my cards back so I left. But my waiter wasn’t drinking so she should have gave me my stuff back right?? Right. Today is Tuesday (11/19/24) I arrived at 12pm everyone spoke good english until I started getting an attitude because they refused to look for my cards and was giving me the run around. So I started getting loud asking where is my cards!? They brought out two large stacks of ppl IDs, DLs & debit cards and for mine to be with them 3 days why the hell is mine not in the stack!? Why the waiter didn’t turn it in? I sat up there asking for them to call their boss because they said they couldn’t get into the register which was also weird cause why would yall have only my cards in the register but not the other cards??? So I called the police because & for some reason no one spoke English anymore! When the police arrived two hours later they went through the stack and asked why were so many ppl cards left there and not even returned to the mail carrier to get their cards and stuff back to the owners & they had no answer! Mind you they were back speaking English now. So the police said I may have to report my card stolen and we went outside to get a report # why the lady come running out with my cards saying “oh it was in the back” but she claimed she looked everywhere!?? I was up there almost 3 hours! Then she said no need for a report but the police told me to still get a report made cause that didn’t make any sense! Out of all those cards mine was the only one with an actual matching REAL BANK card and ID I believe they tried to scam me or something & when the cops got involved they got scared. I will never go...
Read moreBeen here 5 minutes and there's a million flies. The booth we were sat in was filthy. I had to use my personal Clorox wipes to wipe the tortillas chips out the creases in the booth. ALL of the menus are dirty. I went through over 10 menus trying to find one that didn't have old, dried salsa on it. Nobody even came over to us until we finished cleaning and had sat down. The hostess clearly hates her job, as soon as I walked in the door, she just asked me "for two?" No greeting, just for two? Like wow...
They have the glasses for the "happy" shots literally sitting out on the bar for anybody to walk past and breathe on them as if COVID ISNT REAL.
There was a small hair in my blue shot from my Happy shot platter... my rice was freezing cold and rice is supposed to hold heat so it had to be old as who knows.. at least my burrito was really good! Then as we were leaving, we got harassed and disrespected by the rent a cop at the door who had literally JUST got there a couple minutes before we left. Apparently you have to show your receipt before you leave out the restaurant, the waitress never told us that. We had balled it up and thrown the receipt away by that point. Now don’t get me wrong, my burrito was SO good but I can NOT go back here. Way too many things wrong. My two stars are for the burrito...
Read moreVisited here for the first time. I'll start by saying that when we entered the establishment, we waited to be seated, which is one of the signs you'll see. The hostess wasn't very hospitable and looked bothered by our presence. The waitress, however, was the total opposite. She was friendly and took our orders, and checked in on us periodically. This place displays a big banner hanging from the ceiling claiming to have the best margaritas in town 2 years running. Unfortunately, we didn't try any, but we will the next time we go. The chips and salsa were pretty good, and the food was fine. we had three separate dishes, and one was a bit salty and dry. All our dishes contained chicken cooked three ways, but 1 out of 3 isn't bad. Especially given the place is known for the margaritas and shot selections rather than its food. It's more of a bar that sells food than a restaurant with a bar. The ambiance has a somewhat of a club or sports bar feel to it. It's dimly lit and has rap and hip hop music blasting in the background. If you don't mind the loud music and are looking to drink and then maybe eat, then this is a place worth giving a shot. Oh yea, another thing that kinda supports the bar rather than a restaurant idea is that on the weekends, you have to pay a...
