Seize the Clay — Local services in Memphis

I took my nieces to paint on Saturday and the young ladies that worked there were wonderful and helpful. I got a call on Wednesday to come pick up the 3 pieces we completed. I sent my sister with my nieces to pick up them up today and Peggy the owner was rude the whole time. I was on the phone with my sister I can hear Peggy give my sister attitude because she couldn’t find the pieces. She kept saying she couldn’t find it under my first or last name so that meant either they were not ready for pick up or someone already picked it up. My sister had to tell her several times that I got a voicemail from a worker name Alex on Wednesday that it was ready. Peggy kept insisting then that someone must’ve already picked up the pieces. It wasn’t until my sister said we were gonna leave a bad review the she found the pieces. I’m still writing this review because she needs to learn how to properly speak to customers. A simple “we may have misplaced it, let me see what we can do” would have gone better than gaslighting customers. Do better Peggy!

I walked in to inquire about a service: making a Christmas ornament with my pet. There was a woman with purple hair behind the desk. When I asked my question she was extremely rude and attempted to shame me for asking about making a Christmas ornament at Christmas with my dogs paw print by saying “Christmas is next week, we are out of ornaments.” Clearly, I am aware it is near Christmas however, last time I came by to request the same service at an earlier date in the year, I was told it was too early and the ornaments were in storage. Absolutely LOVE Seize the Clay. I have been painting at this studio for over a decade ( started coming when I was in college at the U of M) Seize the Clay offers something for everyone.
