The young guy working the window yesterday afternoon was RUDE! It was about 2:45 pm or so. He misquoted the price as being $33 and change for a #1 lunch special, an Italian and beef steak, 3 banana puddings, a 32-oz lemonade, and a 32-oz tea. (I also wanted a Coke, but the drink machine was down - again!) Then he said he forgot to put the lunch special on there, so I asked him how he came up with $33 without having the full order. He snapped at me that he had said $23, which STILL sounded high, so I asked him how much each item was. After he had listed everything, it was still only $16 or $18 and change, so I still don't know where the rest comes from... He slammed the window shut, and when he opened it back up, I told him there was no need to be rude and go slamming windows shut. He said, "I ain't being rude!" and slammed it shut AGAIN! He said to go park and wait for the food, so I said, "I have to go buy my drink elsewhere, evidently, so I might as well go to the gas station right here while I wait. Where is the stub?" "What stub?" "The stub from the check." "Why?" "Because you're supposed to give that to me as proof that I've paid for my meal." So he handed it to me, rolling his eyes, and I went to the Circle K next door to buy my drink. I went back to get my food, and by the time I made it to my boyfriend's job on Old Austin Peay at Stage, the food was cold. And by about 5:30, my boyfriend was complaining of stomach distress! I don't know what was done to the food, if anything, (I'm not going to just assume anything here) as I only had banana pudding, or if just wasn't cooked properly since it was cold five minutes after receiving it, but something wasn't right! I won't be returning, despite the fact they have the BEST banana pudding! (Even though they give you a friggin FORK with which to eat...
Read moreThe food that I ordered from this location was the most disgusting food that I had ever eaten in my entire life.
I paid $22 for the food and delivery, and I gave the delivery lady an additional $15 tip for getting out in the snow and ice and because this nation is dealing with a pandemic that has impacted people’s finances.
I paid almost $40 for old food! I was too scared to eat the food because I didn't think that it was safe to eat.
I had been locked up in my house for 7 days because of the snow and ice, but I backed my car out of the garage THIS DAY to give them their food back.
I thought that I was ordering from the restaurant not far from where I stay. I didn't know that I was getting food from Covington Pike.
When I arrived, my stomach turned. I would have NEVER ordered any food from an establishment that looks run down on the outside.
I am almost 40 years old, and I have NEVER asked to speak to a manager before about food quality. They did replace the food with a fish plate. When I was about to throw the food away in the trash bin, the lady at the window asked for the food. I said, “No. I’ll throw it away because it’s not sanitary to take food back from the window from a driver.” She said, “No. I need it for inventory.”
Yuk!
The health department needs to investigate to see if the food that this company is serving is up to standard for humans to eat.
It was low grade, low quality and disgusting.
I will NEVER patronize this...
Read moreWe are long time frequent customers of JJ's. Unfortunately the last few times we came nothing is the same. The chicken is either old, spoiled or not cooked correctly. The fries have been gross and thrown away. We usually get our order after work to take home for dinner. This time the chicken looked and tasted spoiled. We kept it and took it back the next day...We weren't greeted properly about the issue and was given another order..I will let the pictures do the rest. They looked awful in person. I tried to take as many as possible so you can see what they thought was an acceptable replacement for the mess they served the night before.....very disappointed...money & time wasted for...
