I donāt visit Memphis often but being vegan thereās limited options so this was my go to. I placed an order online totaling over $50 just to get my order and my food was cold, cauliflower wings were not battered and it was only about 7 wings. The first time I visited here, that wasnāt the case so I knew my food couldnāt have been right unless they were super generous my first visit. Regardless of that, due to the attitude I was given by the cashier I kept the food and charged it to the game because you reap what you sow. I had my service animal and was asked to leave. My dog was not barking, running around, aggressive, anything out of the ordinary to where my service animal should have been removed from the building. I complied with what was asked and spoke with the owner. The owner states because he is a private business he can have whatever rules he wants and gave examples such as, āif I donāt want to service gay people I can do thatā āif I only want to service black people I can do thatā which morally is disgusting to say. Whether youāre private, public, whateverā unless you have a sign on your building that states no service animals allowed, you can not deny someone with a disability and service animal in your facility. The issue with my food was the least of my worry but my service animal that is used to help and protect me being removed is disheartening. True in fact you canāt please everyone but you should be able to offer more than an apology after an experience like that. Arrogance will be the biggest downfall in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food was some of the best vegan food I have ever had IN MY LIFE. I had the Memphis Bella Cheesesteak, which was incredible! I saw one person complained about their bun falling apart and being soggy. Yes, it is a LOADED sandwich which means lots of delicious onions and peppers. The sauces and the marinade on it are incredible so it is expected that the bun might get a little soggy as you eat (and depending on how long it takes you to eat, ha ha). And that vegan cheese sauce just put it over the top. My friend got the FYE JUNT (vegan hot burger) and he says "it was delicious, the cheese was cheesy, and the marinade was great. One of the best vegan burgers I have ever ate". We also shared sides of fries and a Mac and Cheese, and that Mac and Cheese was super fantastic! If you gave that Mac and Cheese to anyone there is no way they could guess it was vegan. We highly recommend the Mac and cheese, the Memphis Bella Cheesesteak, and the FYE JUNT. There are about 3-4 small tables off to the side. Also the customer service from the employees was extremely courteous...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI will revise this review once I give this place a second chance.
I came in this afternoon to give it a try, but left within 30 seconds. They had a DJ playing inside and a loud speaker outside next to the door. It was so loud I had to cover my ears just to open the door because it was full blast right at ear height. Inside was no better. The music was so loud I couldn't hear anyone let alone hear myself think. As a professional DJ for 23 years I can say that this DJ was very unprofessional in his volume. I would never conceive of the idea of playing so loud here. Fine volume for a club, not a tiny sidewalk and tiny restaurant.
There was no menu in sight. Just about 6 people sitting on their phones waiting near the register.
I left. How am I supposed to know what to order when there is no menu and a DJ playing too loud? I will come back because I want to support business in Messick Buntyn, and I'll leave another review then. I did give two stars because it smelled...
