Edited review: Response from this restaurant stating: "As far as the pricing, Iām not exactly sure what you mean. Name one other restaurant besides Flames Mediterranean & Grill in any cityātop 10, bottom 10, or anything in betweenāthat still offers the same menu prices and the same portion sizes since before Covid."
I lived in 3 cities in 3 states during the Pandemic...I can name several. Let me name one right now: Al-Sham Restaurant in Willow Grove, PA in the suburbs of Philadelphia where the cost of living is levels above Memphis...their hummus is $3 less than yours, just a simple example from several cheaper menu items. Your response to my review in the form of a 'challenge' was not only incorrect, but highly unprofessional...and lost a customer as a result. Sad, because the food was still good and would've still continued patronizing your establishment.
Original review: Must be a Memphis thing where all global/ethnic food is double the cost, half the portions, and none of the quality as the equivalent type of restaurant in a top 10 US city.
My food was ready upon my arrival, yet they made me wait, only to finally end up shocked that it was a customer pick up (after realizing I didnt work for Uber). Imagine had I ordered from Uber Eats, my driver would've waited 30 min on top of spending another 30 min delivering it! Was the South Asian girl someone complained about earlier.
The food was at least good, not...

The food is immaculate, all the seasonings and flavors are super good. I typically get the lamb and beef toshka which is basically like a thick quesadilla. The garlic butter sauce stuff that comes with it is why I keep going back. I'm not sure exactly what that stuff is but it's so good with any item on the menu. Their fry seasoning is perfect, just the right amount of flavor to contrast the flavor in the meat. They've got some really good slices or cakes as well. The service may not always be 5/5 but it typically stays around a 3 or 4 out of 5 so it's not terrible to go to. The interior is a little dingy and could use an update but in no way shape or form is the building falling apart, it's just a little outdated. Flames is one of my absolute favorites to frequent and I highly recommend giving it a shot cause you will find something on their vast menu that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love this restaurant the food is amazing and the service is normally great! However this evening I called an order in . The person that took my order seemed a bit distracted cause I speak very clear when ordering food (for obvious reasons) I had to say the same thing thing 4 times, which I don't mind at all . I even asked can you hear me once to make sure I was not speaking to low. Anyway . I get ther walk in and say I have a pick for then I repeat my order. The lady (the same lady that took my order puts her phone down and hands me a bag. I cash out go home. Get hime order is not right . I call back. I explain I live not close , and would love to bring them their lamb chops back tomorrow and pick up my wrap. She says "a day old I don't know about that" like if I brought them back tonight they could still be sold š¤·šæāāļø. She said there was no way to come another day. I told her I would reach out to the owner she said "good luck" so I guess we will see...
