Homestyle Flavors That Truly Deliver If you're looking for Indian food that tastes like it’s been cooked with care and love straight from a home kitchen, India Kitchen is a standout choice. Known for its comforting, flavor-rich dishes and prompt service, this cozy spot has quickly become one of our go-to places for authentic vegetarian Indian meals.
We recently ordered from India Kitchen for our housewarming celebration, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made for the event. The food arrived right on time—fresh, hot, and beautifully packed. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the flavors, especially the Veg Kheema Biryani, which truly stole the show.
This biryani deserves a special mention. Unlike most vegetarian versions that feel like an afterthought, India Kitchen’s Veg Kheema Biryani is rich, aromatic, and deeply satisfying. Made from finely minced vegetables and plant-based protein, the 'kheema' is perfectly spiced and layered with fragrant basmati rice, creating a dish that’s hearty and bursting with flavor. It’s easily the best in the region.
Beyond the biryani, their menu offers a comforting variety of traditional favorites—papu, bendi-fry, sambhar and more—all of which have that homely touch. You can tell the food is prepared with attention to detail and a deep respect for authentic Indian cooking.
Whether you're planning a family dinner, a special celebration, or just craving soul-satisfying food on a regular day, India Kitchen delivers both in taste and in service. It’s not just a restaurant—it’s a reminder of how good food can bring people together.
I highly recommended for homestyle Indian cuisine, reliable service, and the best veg kheema biryani around. Our housewarming wouldn’t have been the...
Read moreI don't get to frequent Indian restaurants because my wife is rarely willing, so it had been a few years, but I was by myself that day. I was seated instantly, but it was 4PM since I was having a late lunch and early dinner, so no surprise. Asked them what they recommended, and they worked with me to narrow it down to the lamb kurma. They warned me it was spicy, and I told them to hit me with it. I also got plain naan and the mango lassi—just in case my untrained white taste buds couldn't handle the heat. To say the least, it was wonderfully spicy and left me with a nice sweat—I doubt they would tell me if they toned it down for the white boy, but they got it perfect regardless. The naan was naan; you can't go wrong. The lassi had great consistency and was a nice refresher after the meal before I had to go back out into the dumb heat of the sun. I got lamb, so my meal was closer to $20, but most were cheaper. I also ordered extras which put my meal a little higher in price. It was normal price for a sitdown restaurant, and not the inflated prices some faux fine dining places in Memphis charge. Overall, a wonderful experience from service to food. If you are in need of a tasty meal, you can never go wrong with Indian, and this place does it right. They also have party rooms if you want to bring your...
Read moreAwful! I've never had to put salt on my Indian food before... bland, chewy, watered down and stuff like naan and samosas taste like frozen gas station food. No heart, no soul, no cooking skills, and no authenticity in quality and dishes. When I asked server (maybe manager?) for the classic red Indian condiment I normally get, he said "we don't have that" and brought me a KETCHUP PACKET!
EXCUSE YOU! The ketchup packet from your McDonald's to-go that was left in the back of a drawer somewhere!? We're paying you hard earn money to be insulted...
The cook looked angry and not who you want to cook your food. I CLEARLY saw him walk back to the kitchen with the frozen samosas I mentioned above. It wasn't my assumption. Menu makes no sense and sound tries to sound unique but it's to insult your intelligence.
My husband wasted his hard earned money here and these reviews DONT match up... why do some pictures look great and we got crap? The website photos are ALL fake, stock images! Maybe the local Indian culture is helping his reviews, but there's NO CLASS here and NO good food.
If you want to be a "cool bar" then serve your Indian frozen finger food and stick to...
