....extremely disappointing dining experience, we will not be returning and the only reason I gave this eatery one star was because the young waiter, although it was apparent that he was new to this type of job, was very personable, attentive and when the problem was presented to him, he tried to solve it despite the lack of assistance from management and the kitchen. Anyway, here's my story: my friend and I were hoping for a tasty, home cooked style meal and were prepared to pay the price for quality. I ordered the Chicken Parmagiam and when the dish was placed before me, I noticed a massive amount of penne that was topped with 2 round "compressed" chicken patties. I immediately knew that this wasn't fresh chicken but decided to give it a chance. After attempting to chew several bites, I gave up because not only was it as hard as a rock but it was completely tasteless. When our waiter came back and saw my un-eaten plate, he assumed I wanted a doggie bag but I kindly but bluntly told him that the food was impossible to eat, it was clearly not fresh and that it had no taste. He went to the manager and the kitchen staff and then came back to say that they had done a quality -control-check of my chicken and that the piece I had begun to eat was the only bad piece on my plate and in their kitchen. Therefore, they said they would gladly wrap up the uneaten piece so I could take my quality-control-tested chicken home to enjoy there! I flatly refused to accept that offer and told him that I wanted a credit to our bill for the meal. He went back in to the manager and I then overheard said man-in-charge exclaim, in a loud voice that the whole restaurant could hear, and I quote, that he, the waiter should "give her what she wants"! This type of restaurant, one that would not take responsibility for the badly advertised and prepared chicken and then when faced with a complaint from a customer, would not offer anything in exchange for the disappointing meal and then made sure the customer knew how mad they were that they had to remove the cost of the meal from the bill; well then, this is not an establishment that one could ever trust to provide a satisfying...
Read moreThis was a hands down favorite place to eat for years. Until now. I took a friend to dinner on a Thursday night. 2 tables had customers plus us. The waitresses were hanging with the manager and no one was waiting on us. After a while, the order was taken and the waitress went back to hang out. The food was cold and the order was wrong. The sauce was so spicy, I couldn't eat it. It should have been a sweet sauce. We had waited 40 minutes from order to delivery. Couldn't tell my waitress. She dropped the order and went to hang out! I went and found her and all the staff was there. I complained to the manager. She was also there. She had always been pleasant in the past but that might, she clearly had no interest in anything I had to say. She said I would only have to pay for my vegetables. Seriously! She didn't even suggest they try to make it right. My friend ate his food and we left. It is so sad. I loved this place for years. Great, local, and...
Read moreWe are frequent customers of Willow Brook and we were very disappointed this time. While the ice cream is still delicious, the quality of the food has gone way down. The french fries and onion rings (now different) were not fully cooked. We let the waiter know, he apologized, left, and after 10 minutes came back and said he could take them back and have them cooked longer. The waiter did not offer any other solution. The BBQ cheeseburger was very thin, about the size of their children's hamburger. The onion rings are no longer the thin crispy kind, they are thick cut. The waiter did not mention the change. My son also asked for 1/2 fries and 1/2 onion rings and we were charged a dollar for the onion rings, which is fine, but we were also charged a side order of fries, something that has never happened before. For a birthday dinner, this was very...
