Generally a great place for food and coffee, haven’t really had anything that wasn’t good from there in the times I’ve visited. However, that was not the case today. Since most of the items don’t list what is in them I asked the girl taking orders what was in the Cajun chicken wrap. She clearly looked like she didn’t know, then hesitated and said Cajun chicken ..yeah I figured based on the description in the title 🤦🏻♀️Then I asked what comes in it already and she said whatever you want , instead of going to check.. so I took her word for it. I then just asked for lettuce, tomato, and onions in it. Well I got my order didn’t look until after leaving and what do you know there’s bacon and cheddar cheese inside! I have a dairy intolerance that is actually very sensitive as I get sick, and had I been told that it came this way I would have not ordered that or asked for without. I also don’t eat bacon anymore and I do know what it’s supposed to look like cooked and the pieces in there were basically raw, assuming the white color gave that away. All of this would have been fine if when I called they simply would have apologized and even bothered to ask me what happened in that situation . But no I called and she simply said do you want me to remake it ? No I don’t and I ordered something else (to which had lesser value than the $9 item I couldn’t even eat). The egg sandwich I ordered said in it “egg whites” but what a surprise I got regular eggs in my sandwich. Maybe simply telling me that they no longer had egg whites available I would have understood . So ultimately training the staff better would help, actually be communicative and an apology for the mistake would have sufficed, but didn’t get one on the phone when I called or when I came back (which was an inconvenience to me) to get my new order . Disappointing , despite that they are all very friendly on all occasions. Just say...
Read moreWas so excited to go and try muffin house this morning. I have had so many people tell me how amazing it is. Showed up for some Sunday morning breakfast amazed at the sandwich options. Quickly saddened to learn it was at least a 30 minute wait for a sandwich. It wasn’t even that busy inside. There were open tables and two people in front of us in line. Skipped the sandwich I really wanted for a couple muffins. Options limited as majority were already sold out. Had to repeat our muffins multiple time because the person serving us wasn’t paying attention. Then ordered two coffees. Neither were great my mocha didn’t have much mocha in it at all. We go to pay and my fiancé hits the minimum tip not even looking. ALMOST $5 MINIMUM TIP!!! It was 4 muffins and two coffees and the minimum tip presented on the screen is almost $5 that’s crazy. We regret not paying more attention. After what I’d consider greatly over tipping for a few muffins and two coffees we didn’t even get the muffins. We had to stand aside trying to get a servers attention to get our muffins which were left back behind the country. What started as an exciting trip to try a new spot quickly turned into dread and regret. All I wanted was a quick sandwich and coffee not long waits, bad service, and aggressive...
Read moreThis might be in the top 5 most chaotic and inefficient establishments I've ever seen.
We ordered a toasted bagel with butter and two coffees that took 15+ mins from placing the order to getting rung out. That's not including an additional 15 minute wait in line to order.
How is that possible? Well, if you've never been here before, the person taking your order is also the one who prepares almost all of your order AND cashes you out.
Some do's and don'ts:
DONT stand in front of the registers like a normal person would do after ordering. This cafe is not a normal "order, then pay and pick up food" place (like 99.99% of other restaurants).
DO pick up your food at the register after your buzzer goes off.
DON'T ring out yet even though your buzzer went off and you were handed your food.
DO stand off to the side and out of the way of the registers until your specific "person" can ring you out.
DONT give your buzzer to your person after picking up your food.
DO walk your buzzer back through the sea of people waiting in line to order and place into a non-descript wicker basket.
DO avoid the weekends if you do have to go. Maybe try sticking to picking up muffins and not ordering anything...
