Best kept secret in Mentone, that needs to be shared!!

Just a little place, so homey and beautiful inside, puts you right at ease when you're picking up your to-go order. A great intro to the delicious food that you're about to eat.

Our first time there, and I can already say with confidence, it's a new favorite, we will be back! We had the Mongolian beef sandwich, (it comes mild, medium or spicy), and they were delicious! Perfectly seasoned meat on soft, tasty homemade bread rolls, with grilled onions, just sublime. Greek salad with super fresh greens, cherry tomatoes, raisins, olives, feta cheese nuggets, and the best vinegar based dressing I've ever had.

Blackberry crumble/coffee cake that was a perfect blend of blackberry, crumble, and an almost cheesecake-like base, to die for!

All this is nicely packed up, and given to you, by one of the sweetest ladies it's been my pleasure to meet. A family run local business, that makes you feel welcome, at home, and serves up the best food in the IE.

Been driving by this place for over 15 years...finally came for coffee and breakfast this morning after our 20 mile bike ride around Redlands and sunset loop. What a gem!! As we pulled up We met Joe the owner and he was so kind to allow us to park our expensive bikes in the back patio area for safety. Walked in and was greeted by the other owner Heska. We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches and café mocha and Carmel macchiato. We sat in the bigger room that had TV on and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. We were the only ones( Sunday morning they just opened up) and enjoyed our breakfast. The owners came over and we conversed after our meal. Very friendly and welcoming. Why haven't we been here before? After 20 minutes of conversation we left and will be back more often now. Just thoroughly enjoyed everything. The coffee was delicious, the egg and bacon sandwich was absolutely delicious. Listen people, you wont find a more quaint and better coffee house and small menu restaurant.
