This is the worst experience I’ve had at a wine bar. I have been to this wine bar before and loved it (specially since it's very exciting to talk to a staff member that speaks Spanish). I understand that they had just finished a member event and they ran out of several bottles of wine. The only bottle I insisted was the Riesling wine since that was the only sweet wine you guys had in the store for my mother to drink. The same young lady working there that has assisting me several times let me know it would take 20 mins to put in a new bottle. I asked her if she could please let me know when it was ready and she said yes and I was very grateful for it even though I could tell she was annoyed by me already . She never told me it was ready. I went in to check later and it was already installed. I went to put in my card and it wasn’t working. I asked her if she could please help me. She just said “ yeah it works” and turned back around and left. I approached her at the end of the night and informed her that I wasn’t trying to annoy or bother her. I just wanted this glass of wine for my mother since it was the 5th month anniversary of my father’s death . Her answer was “ it’s also my cousin’s death anniversary so I understand” . How does this justify the lack of service and her rudeness? I’m not the one that’s providing service. I’m the customer. I was completely shocked by her lack of humanity. She basically was saying since it was her cousin’s anniversary of his/her death it was ok to act this way. She was comparing her situation with mine to justify her bothered behavior. I will forever regret coming to this place that I once thought was special. I really hope that she will one day learn to think of others and do her...
Read moreI continue to love this neighborhood (Mequon) wine bar and recently discovered the tap wine selection at the bar. Reminds me of tap wine in Rome Italy which I really enjoyed. The selection is diverse and quite good with resonable prices. There's also the select your own wine and size from the more automated system which also has a broad spectrum of wines. Small plate options to munch like truffle popcorn, cheeses, rosemary almonds, meats, flat breads etc. The patrons I see and some I've met have been friendly wine loving folks. I just joined their wine club and look forward to tastings and a monthly selection.
As always the atmosphere is cheery...
Read moreStopped in on a Saturday night with my mom. We loved the atmosphere and the comfortable seating. I had a tap wine, and she had the cocktail du jour. Both drinks we great. We also had the truffle popcorn and the special flatbread which we loved. The set up is very nice: you order at the bar, food is brought to your table, but you don't have a waitress coming by every so often. This made us feel like we could eat at our own pace and we weren't being rushed. We will...
