China Caff — Restaurant in Merced

Today I went to China Caff I’ve been going here for about six years and it’s been pretty good but just lately it’s gone down sad to say well the pandemic was gone it was going pretty good and didn’t want to fall back I guess but any help today I will order chow mein vegetable dish which would definitely be called a vegetable delight and most China places they’ve been pretty good with adding vegetables to my chow mein but this time it really disappointing me the only added cabbage and broccoli which I know they consist of at least four varieties this is not good and then the lady that answers the phone now acts like she doesn’t know what she has on the menu or speaks very broken English When I asked her what does it consist of she told me it had broccoli and cabbage and other vegetables well she could name the other ones because they weren’t in the dish that explains most of it so when you order here and make sure that you specifically tell her to put in those vegetables or a variety of them because the cook over there in the bag is only looking at the menu and the vegetable delight obviously only consist of two vegetables...

I don’t ever take the time to write reviews. However i feel obligated to write a review about this place as it’s happened more than once and i don’t want anyone else wasting their money if they can read this before doing so. I’ve been to china cafe more than a few times within the last year always giving the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe they had a bad day or a long day whatever the case may have been i kept decided to give another try do to the countless “great” reviews about the place. These reviews are lies! It’s terrible every time! Raw chicken and huge in normal sized pieces of chicken. Think about how the prices are low in times of record breaking inflation prices. Save your money and your tummy...

Food was alright. Service was fast. The Asian girl who took our order was very rude and rushed us as soon as we walked in the door. She came to our table 2 times and asked what we wanted and both times we said we needed more time. Then we got our food and every 5 minutes she would ask if everything is ok. I would like to eat my food in peace please. Then before we were even done she brought the check and we had only been there for 20 minutes. Didn't ask if we wanted refill on water. Just stood behind the counter and kept staring and there was only 2 other people in the restaurant. Poor Customer service for rushing first time guests out of your establishment.
