Taco Bell — Restaurant in Merced

The people that work here make it worth it. The food is Taco Bell, the people are always amazing. I've had conversations ranging from favorite hot sauce to hometown news to the weather to someone getting married. Some of the most pleasant people a Taco Bell had ever been graced with.

Edit 6 Years Later (Visited again on 7/9/2023): My first review still stands. This Taco Bell is still staffed with the friendliest people. I've moved out of town, but I was in town visiting family and stopped by for lunch. I didn't recognize anyone, but the vibe was still there. Everyone was a joy to interact with, they seemed to be having a good time and everything was running smoothly.

As far as food goes... I don't know what makes this place so good at what they do compared to other stores, but the food quality is better than any other Taco Bell that I've been to. They don't under-stuff or make their food messy (most of the time the food looks like it could be right off the menu picture), nothing I've had there has been stale or not ripe enough, none of my orders have ever been wrong or missing items - in fact, moving away made me realize how much of an outlier this Taco Bell is. I don't like taco bells inconsistencies of charging to substitute an item or sauce. I don't like sour cream so I always have them remove it up until recently when I decided to try something else instead of just removing the sour cream. I asked to substitute the sour cream for Chipotle Ranch instead and they charged me an extra 40 cents to do this, but if I ask to remove the sour cream they don't subtract 40 cents for my total. I can understand if I added the Chipotle Ranch on top of sour cream to get a 40 cents charge but I'm completely replacing it. Then depending on where I go, some places don't charge me to do this but others do, which I'm not complaining about the places that don't charge me but one It's ridiculous that they charge to replace a sauce for another but two they should stay consistent and do one or the other at all taco bells. Luckily I kept a receipt of one place that didn't charge and used that as proof for the other taco bell I went to that did try to charge me. Anthony, too, deserves high praise for his efficiency and professionalism. He ensures that our orders are accurate and that we receive our food promptly. His attentiveness and consistency are greatly appreciated.
