One standout dish we savored was the "3 Cheeses & Fig Kouign Amann" – a delightful combination of rich cheeses and sweet fig, perfectly complemented by the flaky pastry. Paired with a beautifully crafted latte adorned with latte art, it was the ideal start to my culinary adventure.
For the main course, I opted for the "Les Tartines Avocado Toast," a refreshing twist on a brunch classic. The creamy avocado spread atop crusty bread was a delightful burst of freshness, while the accompanying salad added a vibrant touch to the meal.
To quench my thirst, I enjoyed a crisp and refreshing Perrier – the perfect accompaniment to my meal, adding a touch of effervescence to the dining experience.

Read moreThe food itself is very inventive and elegant, no complaint on the quality. The complaint is on customer service and how the place is run. It is run by two well meaning kids, overwhelmed with work and with little training or food-service industry experience.
I came at 11 am, on a weekday. The displayed menu was the weekend brunch, its items unavailable (since it was a weekday!). The available items in the fridge were not labeled. Looking at the display table, about half of the online items were unavailable.
I pointed to 4 pastry items in the fridge, expecting them to be handed to me immediately. I was dining in, this is not a take out. This is all what I ordered, no food or beverage preparation necessary. The employees made me wait 30 minutes until they finished all backup orders. I pointed out repeatedly that he just need to give me the eclair in the fridge, beside him. Each time, it took him longer to explain to me why he can't fulfill my order, than it would have taken him to hand me the pastries.
After 30 minutes of waiting, the overwhelmed employee finally reached into the fridge to hand me the pastries. Which took him 30 seconds. I would have been a happy customer by implementing a small change: hand customers their pastries immediately if available. Which is what every other pastry shop does.
I have been to this chain twice, and both times I was pretty disappointed with the service. My first visit was to the Issaquah location last Sunday, and it was out of inventory. Today, the location of the main bakery itself was also low on inventory, and I had to wait for 30 minutes for no reason.
If you live far (as is my case) and want to try their delicious pastries, beware of serious inventory problems, and expect a long service delay. You may end up doing the drive...
Read moreUnreliable & irresponsible. I ordered a cake and bread that they spammed everyone about via email.
Showed up on the date to pick it up. Surprise, surprise: their oven had some trouble so they didn't make it and they didn't bother telling me. So I can go find a cake for Christmas somewhere else.
Re Response: what lying scoundrels! The absolute nerve to lie about my review!
First: I said I ordered a cake and bread, you have not corrected anything.
Second: I was told by your Mercer Island staff that THE CAKE was not available as you had a problem with your oven. The next sentence out of the server's mouth was "I'll refund your order" and "do you want the bread". There was no melt down; I immediately said "just refund it all, I dont need the bread then" and left. 100% lie regarding "tantrum".
Third: later the same day I was called by someone who was incredibly hard to understand on the phone. They said I could have something for free and it was ready in Bellevue. They then clarified I could have bread for free and there was a cake as well I could re-purchase (so much for the oven!) I said no thanks and please don't call me again. I never expected nor demanded a free cake from you; I just took my refund, went elsewhere at the last minute, and posted my experience here.
Your response is full of lies, plain and simple. If you are a small and struggling business, then focus on improving your terrible service (a fact commented on by others here as well) and fulfilling the orders you accept (and emailing a heads up when you fail)!
As I said yesterday, the store is irresponsible and unreliable, and I don't wish to be contacted by you...
