Hunan Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Meridian

I hate to give a poor review but I am so aggravated about my order today. I had a friend visiting from out of town and we were both looking forward to Hunans. I did an online order for takeout, and when we picked up the order, the cashier stated our food selections. When we got home (about a 45 minute drive,) we found that what we got, other than 1 item, was not what was ordered. And most of what we got we really did not care for. But I was not going to pack everything back up and drive 1 1/2 hrs there and back to return it. I called the restaurant to tell them about it. They said I could bring it back and I’m sure they would have exchanged it with no problem - but again, I did not want to make that drive. They have been closed for dining since COVID and I have discovered their takeout service. The food we've gotten has been fresh, tasty and plentiful. One night I had my family and was buying dinner for 6. When I got the food home, we discovered my entree was missing and we had a container filled with donuts. I called and they told me that the donuts were complimentary but they had just forgotten to put one of the boxes in the bags. That just meant another trip! Other meals since have been good but I ordered chicken with cashew nuts combination meal the other day and it was very disappointing. The container was filled with the shrimp fried rice (with only 3 or 4 shrimp) and was topped with about 4 stalks of celery that was chopped up, some carrot and a piece or two of chicken along with chicken skin from a wing tip. NOT ONE CASHEW. The sauce was good and it was certainly edible, but it was not what I asked for or expected. I’ve ate here a few times all were bad. I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt due to others wanting to go and them saying that it was ok to give another chance. This was the last third chance. Food was cold, barely any food at all on the Buffett the were trying to cook a few bites at a time but people were steadily coming in . They sure charged me full price and didn’t blink an eye! They were sweeping the floor as we were eating which is a huge NO in my book who wants dust and germs flying all around their food ? Not this girl so this means I need to not visit Hunan again!
