Johnny Bronx — Restaurant in Meridian

My family turned my girlfriend and I into this place and we LOVE IT. The pizza is always top quality with great ingredients, and the staff is always great.

That being said, I’m not much of a review leaver, but I had to share our experience from our delivery order tonight. My girlfriend and I ordered Johnny Bronx tonight, but it was taking forever to get to our place. Almost two hours after we ordered the pizza we heard a knock at our door, and it was the pizza! We didn’t care that it was late and weren’t going to say anything because we were just happy to have some dinner. We had put in the order notes that we might have COVID, and as a precaution they should leave the pizza at the door. When we opened the door the delivery person was standing back a bit, so my girlfriend thanked them but told them they could walk away as we had put in the notes that we might have COVID. The delivery driver said they knew that but they wanted to explain that the pizza was late because no one was out doing Door Dash because of the roads, and they told us THAT THEY ARE THE OWNER OF JOHNNY BRONX AND THAT THEY AND THEIR TEAM REMADE A FRESH PIE AND HAND DELIVERED IT TO US. After a crazy holiday week and the bummer news that we may have COVID (still waiting on test results,) this gesture really touched my girlfriend and I, and left us speechless, frankly.

These guys are amazing. Not only do I absolutely love their pizza but these guys really and I mean really take care of their customers.

I had an issue with a DoorDash delivery order as I ordered around 5:30 with estimated arrival of 6:40pm. Cool..

I called them to find out what's up with the order and they were super transparent on when it left the building, nobody waiting for food currently, etc.

Bronx told me they would send out an employee with a fresh and hot pizza.

7:10pm rolls by and the DoorDash driver finally drops it off.

I call them to explain what just occurred wanting to pay for the pizza that they had to "replace" but ending up not having to and they said "Nah man that's one's cold, take the hot one on the house"

They personally sent out their employee to hand delivery a fresh and hot replacement order, sure I had to wait a bit longer but that's an easy 30 minute drive from their location and they did not have to do that. Domino's, Papa John's, Pizza Hut etc would not do that for their customers guaranteed.

What an experience. This was my first time here. The drive through is really slow, even though it was after 8:00 pm. The young lady was so distracted that she couldn't figure out figure out what I was ordering, after four attempts. At this point I should have realized that there would be more issues to come. She finally got our order entered into her system, but did that wrong too. We finally got the pizza, and she forgot our drinks. At this point I should have checked the pizza, to make sure they got that right because, once we got it home we discovered that the pizzas were wrong too! Zero out of four were correct! Zero! At least it was pizza. We ate anyway, because it was late, too late to go back at this point anyway. Anyway, on to the pizza. It was dry. It was pretty clear to both of us that it had been sitting out too long. Aside from this, it wasn't a bad pizza; a bit greasy, but not bad. It's really too bad so many things went wrong. I really wanted to like this place. I may give it another chance, some day, not late in the evening though. If he staff were more mature, I'm sure they would have had...
