UPDATED REVIEW: 2/13/21āļøāļøāļø
We've been coming here since they first opened and I've noticed some changes to the food and pricing over the years. I'm kind of thinking when they got new owners in 2020 that's when the pricing changed and went up.
There are a couple trips where we've had some inconsistencies in their food. 1. The waffle being as hard as a rock, probably because the cooked sugar in the waffle. It was so so hard to cut, even with a steak knife. 2. The whipped cream not having enough sugar or something to give it that sweetness factor. It was still good nonetheless.
Now I'm just not sure the food justifies the price anymore. We paid $28 for 3 waffles. 2 grilled cheese with a cup of soup each and 1 red wonder. The grilled cheese was pretty small which definitely makes it more of an appetizer sizing rather than a lunch portion. Their cup of soup on mine was delicious and plenty but my husbands was FULL of their cherry tomatoes they never blended so he only got about 3 spoonfuls of it.
I think in the end this is why we don't come or crave their waffles as much as we used to.

Love coming here for a sweet treat. -My favorite so far is the red wonder. It consists of biscoff spread with whipped topping along with strawberries and raspberries.
-I have also had the banana cream pie which has chocolate sticks inside of the waffle. Personally not our favorite because the chocolate sticks overpowered the whole thing. Besides who has had chocolate on their banana cream pie? I have never.
-My husband loves the plain liege waffle with whipped cream. Heās a simple dude! But he also really loved their chicken and waffles which was really yummy because the chicken was fresh and had the perfect amount of crunch to it. It comes with two sauces (one savory, one sweet) which are realllly tasty. I would get that for lunch! I have almost tried them all besides some savory ones. The only other savory Iāve had is the grilled cheese which is appetizing. It has some good seasoning in the grilled cheese, to me it reminds me of rosemary but I could be wrong and then when you dunk it in their heavenly tomato bisque! Mmmm.
-Others I have tried are the sunshine, cinnalove and then the dulce. The sunshine is good but really tart because of the lemon curd (duh, of course! Lemon!). The cinnalove was good but realllly sweet because of the cinnamon glaze they too if off with. I felt like it needed whipped cream to help combat all the sweetness goin on. Last but not least the dulce is yummy because they roll their ice cream in these crunchy sweet flakes, itās just a lot though so be aware you may have to share (oh that rhymed lol). So all in all I guess what Iām trying to say is that I have been here quite a bit. Wear your stretchy pants because you canāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI think the concept they have going here is a good one. I mean who doesn't love a waffle?? And who doesn't love a waffle done up with all kinds of extra goodies like Nutella, cookie butter, whipped cream and fresh fruit??
The service here is very friendly and helpful. The waffles are pre-made there in the store, but they reheat them when you order so they are nice and warm and then add all your goodies. Based on this I think it's totally to be expected that it's gonna take a few minutes to get it together.
Taste wise, I think they are just okay. I find them to be a bit too sweet for my taste, though my boys had no trouble devouring each of theirs. I particularly find the type of whipped cream they use to be overly thick and sweet and not light and airy like whipped cream usually is. I have had authentic liege waffles before and I think the style of this waffle does not mimic what I have been tasted previously. So either what I am accustom to is not authentic or these waffles aren't really a true liege waffle. These waffles are more along the lines of your traditional Belgian waffle with some sweetness added.
Because they are so sweet, in my opinion, I couldn't finish mine. Ironically however, I do think the portion size is kind of small for the cost of each item. $7-$8 a piece.
I have not tried any of their savory waffles yet. They are made with a croissant batter. The descriptions and photos do look tasty. They offer both breakfast and lunch style options.
The parking is kind of wonky. Make sure you park prior to actually pulling up to their store front. (So park in the lot prior to Sodalicious). There are only a few stalls around the side of the building and if the drive-thru is backed up for the soda place next door you'll never get out.
Overall . . . if you are familiar with liege waffles I'd go in without the expectation of this, but with the intention of a fun different treat for your family to try. My review is obviously just my personal opinion, maybe you'll think they are the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTaylor was working. Long blonde hair, black hoodie. Tattoo on right arm. We love this location and the food I take people here all the time. This was the worst visit i have ever had. We got grilled cheese and soup. The soup was stone cold. Like not even a little warm. I work in food service so i was like its fine ill just ask them about it. There was no one up there for several minutes to help me and i had to call out to get any help. She took them back to microwave and it took like seven minutes. I was slightly worried she might be spitting in our food, not saying she did but it look a while to microwave. When we got them back my partnerās was bubbling and steamy and a-okay. Mine were barely any warmer at all. Imagine hot chocolate youve left alone for 30+ minutes. Not freezing but definitely not hot and not up to food safety protocol. I decided to finish one and take the other home to microwave myself to have it hot. Went up to ask for a lid again she was nowhere to be seen and there were other customers waiting. She peaks around the corner and i see she was on a video call this entire time. She says ābe right backā THEN helps us. I work food service i know the pay isnāt great but damn at least do the...
