Oishi Japanese Express — Restaurant in Meridian

The house rice is garbage and this is what their calling hibachi. I've never send it made like this, it's disgusting. They give you about 5 shrimp this crumble up pieces of steak and chicken fit for a dog. It's awful they should be ashamed to serve such poor food. They obviously have idea on how to fry sushi and they should learn how to do that before serving over cook hard fried sushi. Never eating there again!!!!!! OMG!!! I MISS THIS SO MUCH WHEN I'M NOT IN MERIDIAN 😭 The chicken fried rice + veggies with no mushrooms is my go to order. Also the suuuushi!!! Eel, salmon, shrimp tempura are my classic trio but I have never ordered a roll that I didn't cry glitter about while eating it lol Also, the pink sauce (somehow 100x better than yum yum sauce) is somehow my love language 🥲🍣🍚🍤 so in conclusion... if Oishi was a man we'd be married by now. For what you pay it is good but it isn't worth it. We got the crunch roll and the crunch was more like sand. The steak habachi meat was more like burnt carne asada and the rice was plain. I'm really unsure why there are canned mushrooms and canned sweet carrots with habachi when you could easily add some stir fried cabbage or zucchini that actually go along with habachi.
