Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Meridian

Long post...This ranking is based SOLELY on my MOST RECENT visit. 8-4-2024. Placed order using the app as I usually do. Get to the location and check in. Screen shows I checked in (but other notifications disappeared)! Patiently waited for about 10minutes, I see a couple ppl come after me and leave. Press button again to confirm they received my order. Was told yes. Waits about 10 more minutes sees 3 more vehicles come after me and leave. Let's them know I am STILL waiting. At this point was told it will be right out. Entire order comes out ice cold. Sends it back. Reminds worker to make sure they read my receipt as they tend to get my order wrong. New order LITERALLY comes back out less than 5 minutes. Fries were hot and burgers seemed warm (just from touch). Opened both burgers, only to see they BOTH were horrible. Had 4 slices of cheese just thrown on and NOT melted. One had at nothing but pickles when I SPECIFICALLY said NO pickles. Needless to say, I immediately called back to speak to a manager (male) to address the issues. Was asked to come right back, but declined as I was aggravated at this point, and felt waiting til the next day would be better. Now I go back the next day and speak to a female manager (did not get her name) who was great and offered to remake the ENTIRE order. And to make the issue right. Left a semi satisfied customer...

I never leave reviews but this location deserves this 1 star. Legitimately never have good service here but have given them a chance because it’s close by to my house. One of the main attractions of sonic is clearly their ice cream, especially during the summer. I have gone to this location twice recently attempting to get ice cream, once last Saturday (8/14) and again this Saturday (8/21) and both times they had an excuse as to why we couldn’t order any ice cream. First visit, they were “out” and I asked how long of a wait and the girl just ignored me and never responded. I sat at the drive thru waiting for a response for like 5 minutes and eventually another girl answered me and told me it would be a 30 minute wait for ice cream. This was 8pm on a Saturday. Ended up going to the north hills location and got exactly what we wanted immediately with great service. Second visit we were told the ice cream machine was now broken and they were waiting on someone to come fix it. This was 1:30pm. Both times I got the feeling from the person taking my order that they just didn’t want to make us any ice cream like it was inconveniencing them. This location has always been subpar but it’s gotten so bad it’s not even worth attempting to go there any longer. Either they won’t have what you want or they will mess up your...

Ok, I have had enough. I try hard to understand that there could be issues behind what happens at this sonic but c'mon. Today, I stopped here as I have in the past many times. When I order, I specify extra ketchup packs. I got so tired of my meal finally getting to me and then waiting until the delivery person had to backtrack and get some before I could start to eat. They don't even bring any with them when they deliver the food. So, as suspected, no ketchup in the bag. Got plenty of jelly and salsa. No ketchup ever after I specifically asked for it. So I pushed the red button and requested ketchup again. Sat there and waited. Watched the delivery person come out with 4 more orders and never got my ketchup. What is sad is that I love sonic food and will probably go back because of the ideal location. As far as service, the only good thing is that you don't have to cook it yourself.
