Sorry Papa Murphyâs but that was the biggest management fail of all times. I get it. Itâs Halloween. Itâs busy. They had 8 people making pizzaâs. 1 person working the register and he was also handling drive thru. They had over ten cars lined up on McMillan and if you know how far that was from the drive thru you know how far that is. They had a line way out the door. You would think they didnât have pizzaâs made. You would be wrong. They had well over 150 orders (that includes multiple pizzas in order) just sitting there. They had well over 50+ orders to be made. I called in over an hour ahead. I waited 30 minutes after arriving 15 minutes late. I left with no pizza. At one point I started yelling out people names from orders and got 3 people their orders. There was a woman who ordered ar 11:00 for a 3:00 pickup. She arrived wuth me and last I knew was still in line 30 minutes on her 2nd wait. Manager, do something. First, stop taking call inâs when you canât handle everything else. Stop taking walk up otders. Tell drive through to park and come in. Do something. In 30 minutes I did more to get orders out and paid for then a single one of your employees. Honestly while I never want to go back out of morbid curiosity I want to see the level of wasted pizzaâs and lost business. Itâs Halloween so time to have pizza less fun. Pretty sure the...
Read moreWe've been patrons at Papa Murphy's for many years and thus have ordered from multiple locations all over the Treasure Valley, as well as, in other states. This particular location is our current go-to based on it's proximity to our house. Overall, the product and service is in line with that which we have experienced at all other locations, which to me says the owners and staff are following the guidelines and protocols outlined in their corporate operation instructions. I've never had to return an item for being made incorrectly or called to complain about the quality of the product received. I'm not sure it is fair to compare the quality of pizza to other establishments, because take n bake should be considered it's own lane. So for the take n bake lane, I think their pizza is just fine. I do like that the have a GF option available, as well. The staff have always been friendly and courteous. I am a coupon fanatic, which means you better believe I've always got a handful to bring along on my pizza trips. The staff is never rude about this and is actually helpful about which ones I should use to get the most value. The other added feature that I love about this location, that only a few others have, is the fact that they have a drive thru. So nice to call ahead, pull up, pay and leave without ever getting out of the car. Especially during these crazy...
Read moreIâve been a longtime fan of Papa Murphyâs, but my recent experience was disappointing. When picking up my order at the drive-thru, I was asked point-blank if I wanted to leave a tip âWould you like to leave a tip, 10%, 15%, or 20%?â This felt incredibly awkward and unprofessional, especially considering I was simply handed my food through the window.
I understand tipping is customary in many service industries, but this approach felt more like a sales pitch than a genuine gesture. It puts customers on the spot for a service that doesnât typically warrant a tip, especially when thereâs no additional service beyond handing over the order. Cook the pizza, bring it to the table, and wait on me and I'll give you a good tip. No need to ask.
Papa Murphyâs should consider rethinking this tacticâgood customer service should be appreciated,...
