Southern Fryers — Restaurant in Meridian

Best Southern meal we've had in a long time while traveling!! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile and friendly atmosphere. We got the porkchops and they were sooooo good! Mac n cheese was nothing like what you get at any other restaurant. It was so cheesy and delicious. The greens were good, a little spicy, just the way I like them. I want to know who's grandma was back there cooking the cabbage because it tastes just like my grandma's. That took me back in time. The tea was really good too. Not everyone can make good tea these days but this was good! The hospitality was amazing. The owner walked around conversating with everyone making sure we had what we wanted and the food was good. We were passing through headed back to Georgia and was looking for some good food and to take a break from the road and just so happened this place showed up on google. I read the reviews and we decided it was a must to stop and try it out! We walked in and was welcomed by a friendly staff. This place was clean and the smell of the food was great. We placed our order and I must say the food didn’t disappoint. It was delicious and the gentleman I’m assuming that was the owner told us that there was no need to watch our waist lines there as the portions were enough for two people. Stopped by here on the way back to Texas. We were in the mood for just some good old southern food.

Southern Fryers did not dissapoint. The fried chicken was freaking amazingly delicious 😋.

Come to find out that it was grandma's 👵 recipe. You know what they say y'all.
