If you are hungry DON'T GO HERE. I ordered a cup of coffee and the deluxe grilled cheese. A sandwich with cheese and a piece of tomato is NOT a deluxe anything. Also, a dinky bag of Lay's potato chips is not a side.
A cup of soup, some vegetables, a cup of fruit, these are sides. Maybe some cottage cheese...
Add some ham to that cheese and some fried onions, and you would have a decent "deluxe grilled cheese".
If I spend $11 dollars for a meal, I expect to not be hungry when I leave. That meal was worth maybe $4.25.
A side note too, any meal purchased as dine in with coffee should automatically come with an "endless cup" at no extra.
Coffee is rather inexpensive, and every other place in town does it this way.
It was also too dark in there. Let's make it brighter, please.
Now, for the good things of this place. It was immaculate, which I appreciate very much. It was staffed with nice people, which I also appreciate. It was spartan, but smartly decorated. It could use a little more color, some flowers or something, but still, a well maintained, clean looking place.
I don't say this out of malice for Auntie Ray's, because if I was just coming for a coffee and danish, I would recommend Auntie's.
But if they want to actually say they serve meals there with a straight face, the portions need to get bigger, and the lay's chips need to be a secondary option, or better yet, not an option at all. Not the side that comes with your sandwich.

Read moreMy chai was made as specified, it was great, atmosphere was great, but my daughter’s mocha was made out of milk instead of almond as asked. When she drank it to find out it was made with milk she went up to have it corrected. Instead of just taking it back and remaking it, the clerk admitted it was her mistake, and said she would pay for it? Then another girl came up and was saying she was confused because almond wasn’t on the slip?? Then she made a deal out of the fact that almond milk was more and we had to pay for it. Then, when one of the other girls was to (finally) remake the drink she questioned why she had to. Unprofessional. I hope .50 was worth losing another $10-20 in sales. If I could have returned my entire purchase at that time I would have, instead I settled for taking back my tip and...
Read moreAbout ten years ago I had the literal best almond latte from a small coffee shop too far away to be able to visit again. I have asked every new coffee shop for an almond latte, hoping they can somewhat replicate this latte of years gone by. I have since given up hope, as none have ever held a flame to said latte. None, until this week. I am originally from Merrill. My mom got me a gift card for this coffee shop after we decided to move back this summer. I went this last week, and fate somehow brought the infamous latte back to mind. I ordered myself one, without much hope. When I tell you it has surpassed my wildest dreams, I am not kidding. I have visited three times in one week. Highly recommend this cafe, and highly recommend the iced...
