IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING SUPPORTING THIS LOCATION I WOULD RECONSIDER ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE ANY FOOD ALLERGIES.
If I could give this location a 0 I would. My family and I went to this location and ordered two crunch cones and an M&M blizzard. We pulled up to the window and handed us one cone and said âhave a good nightâ, shut the window and we sat there for another at least 3 minutes before she came back and asked if we needed something. We replied we had two other items we ordered and the woman yelled to the other employees and was frantic. We received the other two items and drove away. My mom and I ate our crunch cones, which were the most poorly made crunch cones I have ever seen as they were half melted and barely had any topping on them.
We get home and my dad begins to eat his blizzard and two bites in he asks what we ordered. They had given us someone elseâs blizzard with snickers in it (which I confirmed by trying it and finding a giant piece in the cup). HE IS ALLERGIC TO PEANUTS.
Immediately I called to explain they had made a mistake and we wanted our money back as the blizzard was almost 8 dollars. They said they couldnât help because they needed to talk to someone else. I gave my information and they said he would call me the next day. 48 hours later I still had not heard from anyone so I was in the area and went in-person. The âmanagerâ basically said he was going to get to me eventually and asks if I had informed anyone of the allergy. I told him I barely got all of our items, the staff was frantic, and I shouldnât need to let you know he is allergic if itâs not even the item we ordered. He points to a sign on the front door and says âwell thatâs why we have the signâ. We went through the drive-thru first off where there is no sign and again we shouldnât have to specify that we would like to receive the food product we ordered without having to taste test everything we receive. He took a photo of my receipt, wrote my name down, phone number and I never heard from them again. We never were refunded, they never even apologized.
In addition, this location is disgusting inside, the floors are filthy and the employees look like they could care less and the food reflects that. To not receive even an apology and for the âmanagerâ to point the finger at me is outrageous. If they could have owned the mistake and just apologized I wouldnât even care about the money but the lack of follow-up and failure to do the right thing is vividly apparent at this location. The franchise owner should know this location needs major...
Read moreI went last night with my boyfriend for ice cream. What should've been a quick stop turned into a very long one despite the 7+ employees working. He ordered a banana split and I ordered a twist cone with sprinkles. The first thing I noticed was what appeared to be a shift leader on duty at the time and her interaction with I'm asusming a new hire. While she swept, she literally yelled demands at him and instead of showing him how to properly do things, would yell at him for that as well. Highly unprofessional. I work in management and would be very embarrassed to have my new hires treated so poorly. I'll be surprised if he stays more than one month. The second thing I noticed is no employees were wearing gloves while working with food. I watched an employee bare handedly cut up the banana for the banana split and put it in the cup. Your location was out of the normal horizontal cups for this item. There was way too much going on so we picked up our ice cream and trashed the banana split (because who wants to eat something a strangers hands have been all over) and we went home. Ill stick to the Power Rd location in Mesa from here on out. What a...
Read moreEverytime we go there we have an issue! We went through the drive thru a month or so ago, waited 20 minutes in line to be told at the window that their credit card machine was down. Did not offer to give us or order for free just told us cash or nothing. We opted for nothing and wasted 30 minutes of our time. On 2 other occasions I have tried using a dairy Queen gift card that had a $15 balance on it, they tried telling me it was my card the first time and had to pay with my debit card instead. Of course I come home and call the number sure enough there is $15 balance on the card. I go there today to try to use my gift card again and they were unable to use it again. I asked for the franchise owners phone # was refused, the general managers phone number was refused, all they gave me was the store number and a general time frame when the general manager might be there. This store's lack of customer service and repeat issues will lose us as customers. I'd rather drive a mile to Soda Rush and get excellent customer service and better...
