UPDATE Jan 2023 Since this place now has new owners we have not been happy with selection of meats. Don't always have what we want. Freshly made tortillas shrunk in size. Pan Dulce is different. Not the same quality or freshness :( Now its been a few months since we've gone back to this establishment. So we are hopeful they've improved bcz we will be going back to try them one more time. The review below was from a few yrs back when previous owners were there.
We have frequented this business often since moving to this side of the valley in 2004. We didnt find them right away but have been giving them business for a few years now and we have even recommended a few people to them and they were not disappointed. We enjoy their cuts of beef which are/can be marinated, and the chicken that is marinated as well and all great on the grill. They have never disappointed! Plus they have guacamole, salsa to purchase as well. Their pan dulce is baked daily and is awesome! Always fresh and tasty when we buy it. Plus everytime we've gone in there, there are freshly made tortillas on the counter and of course we have to purchase some! The staff is friendly and ready to help you....
Read moreWe have been here once before & was helped by an older gentleman who was very helpful, and polite. We decided to have Carne Asada tacos for our Sunday dinner after our first good experience here. I walked in, around 8:30am on Sunday morning, after we called in our tortillas Saturday night. Just needed to pick them up, and get meat. I was rudely greeted by a lady in the meat section, who clearly didn’t want to be there, or help me because I was white. I asked for 3 pounds, she gives me 4, I told her no, 3, she rolls her eyes, throws the meat back. Rolled her eyes for asking for marinade. She was beyond rude & this was the most awful experience I’ve ever had at an establishment. If you’re racist, I’m not sure service would be the correct place for you to work lady. Thanks for the awful attitude & will make sure nobody supports this! I spent over $60 to be treated...
Read moreI give this place credit because their food is really good, for the longest time I've been buying their homemade refried beans, they are really good, I've also tried their ceviche on weekends and sea food cocktails, the food from their deli and their pastries are their biggest assets, however though I'm a proud Sonoran and Sonoran's are loud and very colorful charismatic characters, besides the owner and one of his employees are true Sonorans other than that the rest of them are simply stone face and appear unfriendly, my wife who doesn't speak Spanish hates to go there on her own because she feels uncomfortable. Imagine the success of their business if they were a little more enthusiastic? Their product...
