Waited about 30 minutes for my 3 orders of food which is insane for the low quality food I received. I ordered one order of menudo since it's only available weekends I thought it would be a fresh. My experience is that I received it cold not even warm plain cold. Menudo has absolutely no flavor, it tastes worse than can menudo which is outrageous. Picture shows 8hours of it sitting in the fridge...no fat whatsoever, broth looks and tastes like they used tomato soup. I added oregano and a few authentic spices of menudo recipe and didn't help at all. Hugeeee disappointment overall .Also ordered Carne asada fries and chicken nuggets with fries for my son . Carne asada fries were okay, but taste was off , french fries were obviously overcooked and probably old ,stale all the way through no heat or fluffyness coming from the inside if the fry. Chicken nuggets were blackish rather than golden brown , my son didn't eat them but my dog did enjoy them. Overall doesn't seem this place will last more than a year like the previous establishment that use to ocupy this one. Side Note: their is no self serve condiment bar , had second hand embarrassment having to witness customer after customer ask for the basic needs of mexican food , salsa , limon, jalapeños. Within the 30min of me waiting for my 3 dishes customers got up to ask the overlly sarcastic cashier for these things. One customer asked for a to go plate , and she said "no we don't have any" she didn't laugh , he did because obviously should be a joke. She continued to say it will be 100$, then she kinda giggled and he laughed and walked away of what I can tell embarrassment to get such treat ment .When finally I received my food the cashier gave me my bags while looking away , which is so weird like trying to avoid eye contact. No" have a good day "thank you for coming" . Won't be coming back to this place also be careful with online and in person prices do differ for...
Read moreI've been going here since November 2023 which i believe is close to when they opened. The food is absolutely fantastic, way above the drive thru taco store offerings. There must be close to 100 items on the menu. I've certainly not had all, but I will share what I've had. First, the breakfast burritos, I get these at least once per week. You order then all day but from 6am to 11am they are only $5. Compartively their about 2/3 the size of a corporate brand noted for its guac. I'm a fan of the bacon, potato and egg burrito which is enough for breakfast and a quick snack later. On the unique side is the Barria Ramen. A spicy dish of barria meat and juice with ramen noddles. Very tasty fusion. Beef tacos. THE GOLD STANDARD TACO for me now. These are the tacos I should have been served when I sat down at 'upscale' Mexican resturants. Whenever I Ran To The Border these are the taco's I Yo Quiero'd. I have had several other items which tick all the muy bueno boxes. The one disappointment, in a fair and honest reivew, I wasn't a fan of the taco pizza. I love taco pizza and all the months that are not May, and I can't get a take and bake taco grande, The Bell has to do. So I was prepared for a hard shell tostado foundation. Their version, at the least the one I got, was essentially a wet quesadilla. But so what. I wasn't a fan of one item representing less than 10% of my total orders. I still have 80+ items I haven't tried. And maybe they read this and look at an area of opportunity. It's really hard to find good unique food in east Mesa that isn't some national chain. I really hope after reading this you give them a shot. its hard for local businesses to succeed and I really don't want this place to close. (I am not affliated with the place in any way. They just...
Read moreI went in tonight for the first time (Monday 1/8) for a take out order of 2 #35, which is quesabirria tacos with consommé and a drink for a little under $15 and an al pastor burrito. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our meal. We felt like the price was fair for the portions as well. The salsas and consommé also had good flavor. Our only real complaint was that the tortillas were a bit floppy and falling apart however, it's more than likely due to the steam of a takeout box.
The employee at the counter was friendly and provided good service. We've seen a lot of taco shops open and close at this location that we never bothered to check out but I genuinely wish this one success. We're excited to try more of their menu items in the future and appreciate that they're open a little later. It also helps that they're only 2 miles away from our home and we'll probably make this a...
