I actually used to ride my motorcycle to Dutch Bros. nearly every morning, stay from 05:30 to around 07:30, then ride all over AZ, letting my bike take me where it wanted. I was lucky enough to start several close friendships that are still ongoing, 4-5 years later, and even met my last girlfriend there who ended up moving in with me. I then happened into Black Rock one day while shopping at the Lowes in the same parking lot. Their coffee is so much closer to the darker, bolder type roasts that I enjoy and have not been back to Dutch Bros since! My favorite specialty there is the "Mexican Mocha". I always get a small, iced, but with either 2 or 4 extra espresso shots added to the 2 that come with the small, depending upon my caffeine needs for the particular day! And the folks that work there are very friendly, every bit as much as Dutch Bros staff. And like I mentioned, I have some good friends from Dutch Bros, including staff. One more positive check mark for Black Rock; their drive thru moves infinitely faster than Dutch Bros drive thru! I don't know what the issue is, but for every vehicle that is served in Dutch Bros drive thru, I'd say approximately 3-5 vehicles are served in Black Rock's drive thru in the same amount of time. I've never seen more than 9-10 vehicles in Black Rock's line at their busiest. However, I've seen 20 to as many as 30 vehicles in line at Dutch Bros! And it has nothing to do with popularity, and everything to do with speed of service. I happened to try one of their food items a few weeks ago, a chocolate chip cookie, and it was excellent! I would assume that the other pastries are just as delicious. Just had to mention this; To Tim who's review appears a ways past mine, if you've never been in an establishment, how could you ever write an honest, comprehensive review about it? Further more, one should not rate (with stars, etc.)any establishment that one has never even stepped foot inside of, especially when one hasn't yet sampled anything that they offer. My apologies if readers feel I've wasted a moment of their time with this. It's just something that sticks in my craw, & if my observation causes someone to think twice before writing a review of an establishment they know nothing about, then perhaps I've helped in...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of meeting a barista named Hunter at Black Rock Coffee, and I must say, he truly made my day! Hunter's ability to engage in conversation was simply remarkable. From the moment I walked in, he greeted me with a warm smile, and his genuine interest in my day was evident.
Hunter took the time to ask about my preferences and recommended a coffee that perfectly suited my taste. Not only was the coffee incredible, but Hunter's passion for his craft was palpable. He shared his knowledge about different brewing techniques and even shared some interesting coffee trivia. It was clear that he genuinely cared about creating a memorable experience for customers.
I am incredibly grateful to have met Hunter and experienced his exceptional customer service. His positive attitude and friendly demeanor brightened my day, and I left Black Rock Coffee feeling energized and uplifted. I sincerely hope that whatever endeavors Hunter pursues in his career, he finds success and fulfillment.
I also want to encourage Black Rock Coffee to acknowledge Hunter's outstanding performance. His dedication to providing exceptional service deserves recognition and appreciation. In my opinion, Black Rock Coffee has a gem in Hunter, and I believe they should continue to support and nurture his talent.
After this wonderful experience, I can confidently say that I'm not sure I would ever go back to the local coffee joints near me. The quality of coffee and the exceptional service at Black Rock Coffee are unparalleled. Wherever my next adventure takes me, I will make it a point to find the closest Black Rock location, as the experience is truly worth it.

Read moreAfter reading this post today about your establishment, I figured it was only right to fill your audience in on the hypocrisy and lack of humanity that your management/employees seem to display...
Let me give you a real life lesson... do you know the difference btwn a vulture and a bald eagle?
Nothing... they're both large birds and they are both scavengers... yet one is looked down on as disgusting and the other is heralded all over this country as a symbol of honor and integrity... but in real life, one is no better than the other...
It seems to me that y'all can't see the forest for the trees- which makes you part of this country's deepest rooted problem... ignorance at its best...
I'll paste the post here for everyone to see and read for themselves... I sure wouldn't ever want someone as shallow as yourselves to profit from ppl with honest integrity.

Post from patron- There’s one thing I don’t understand. I can sit in a coffee shop for 2-4 hrs and not get asked to leave because I purchased a coffee and slapping away at a keyboard. But a homeless man buys a coffee and a pastry and is asked to leave after 10min when he nicely asks “why” the cops get called. Good Job Black Rock Coffee Bar Mesa, AZ...
