Venezia's Pizza 2721 S. Ellsworth Rd #107 Mesa AZ 85209. An employee (girl with half orange hair on bangs) handling food took her unwashed dirty hands and removed toppings off pizzas and gave to customers. When I arrived there were no pizzas available for what I ordered and said it'd be 5-10 min. I said fine. This employee also took her dirty hands and went over to the topping bar and grabbed uncooked toppings and set them on the dirty counter and then added them to different slices and then sent them out to people. When spoke with Manager David, he was very rude, said "so what, that's how they do it all the time" and told me to go wait on the other side and he'll get me fresh. I didn't, and kept watching, as he then took the pizza to the back room office after bad mouthing me to the employees making the pizzas, as comment was said they'd spit in my food. David then had the girl with orange bangs who removed toppings take it back up to the front coming through a different way and try and give it out to me again. I waited a long time, as people after me and ordering were getting served. David who said he was Manager, had multiple complaints that same night. He also was sweating and touching his face and then handling the food. The girl also set the pizza on top of the dirty oven area for 20 min. because she had no counter space to set it. I asked for my money back and left. It was sadly gross to watch the unsanitary of touching everything and the food...cooked...
Read moreI want to start by saying I absolutely love the food! The pizza, salads and wings are amazing. With that being said, I’m sad to say my favorite menu item, which I’ve order more than a dozen times, is almost never delivered correctly, ruining my excitement on a number of times. Whether it’s through a delivery service like Uber or through Venenzia’s portal, when I order the Italian beef sandwich you can bet I will never get all that comes with it. This particular sandwich is so good, it will make you rethink Italian beef subs! But like I was saying, I have ordered this sandwich more than a dozen times from different outlets and the au jus that comes with it is almost never included, making my excitement and enthusiasm for this place slowly diminishing. I’m tired of setting myself up for disappointment thinking the delivery person, or restaurant (if that’s whose responsible) is going to actually remember to include it each and every time. I’ll close with this, I’ll never stop trying, but please take into consideration that your Italian beef is just not living up to it’s potential unless it comes with the amazing au jus that is supposed to come with it. Please remember that it is part of the description of the sandwich itself and yet is rarely actually included in any order that leaves your restaurant. Thank you and I apologize for the rant. Have a...
Read moreVenezia's has become our go-to for "real food" when we don't want to cook but still want good tasting Italian without requiring a reservation, costing a fortune, & even better... no need for wearing pants. Why wasn't Contactless delivery available decades ago 🤔🤣? They have the best "close to home" Calzones, Stromboli, Chicken Parm, Terimasui, and even Cheesesteaks (except they tend to add Jalapeno peppers, same with their Philly Fries) that's not really a thing in Philly & the surrounding areas where food is more than something to eat. Please trust me on this one, most of my life was based on what you make & how good it tastes, usually determining the amount of block parties & BBQ's you're invited to & having a social life 😁. ★ To anyone local w/the power to make East Mesa a better place for foodies & bringing new jobs, with a long term goal of developing a sense of (at the very) knowing your neighbors name. 😇 Now that I'm thinking of food, I'm really missing mom & pop style pizzarias, bodega's the ones on every corner, where you can get Jamaican food while your friend crosses the street to the right & grabs Chinese (w/duck sauce) & your man goes left for Beer, rallies, and a few slices of pizza. The best Pork roll, egg & Cheese croissants on lunch trucks, and late night Wawa runs—becomes a way of life instead of a basic need...
