The staff here really varies in competence! I have come across some of the rudest and nicest servers at this location. One girl in particular (Destiny) is beyond incompetent and must have severe short term memory loss because she always gets my order wrong. I go to Heavenly probably 3-4 times a week and order the exact same thing every time. She asks for your order, I tell her my coffee (size, flavor, iced, dairy & sweetener), she'll leave to start making the coffee and then comes back to the counter to confirm the selection. "French vanilla, right?" or "Cream and sugar, right?" or "That was a large, right?" Every time she asks these questions I kindly say "No, that's not right" and I repeat my original order, but she still gets it wrong. One time (after getting the wrong coffee and she had already moved onto the next customer), I asked someone to re-make the coffee for me. Upon seeing this, she came back to the counter and proceeded to get confrontational and told me that "It wasn't necessary to go behind my back and have someone re-make the coffee. That was just plain rude." I can't believe she has the audacity to talk to customers like that. Now, she just tells people that she's not willing to wait on me because "I'm too difficult" [I order the same thing every time]. On the other hand, people like Elizabeth and Ashley are complete peaches to talk to. They always have a smile on their face and always have a pleasant manner about them. It's really not hard to be nice -- you catch more flies with honey...
Read moreJust got done getting a refund from here (126 Merrimack St). Both of our drinks tasted really weird, almost like the batch was sitting for too long. We got the wrong kind of cream cheese, and the bagel was barely toasted. I politely asked for a refund because we didn't want to eat here today after the experience (we are long time heavnly patrons) because obviously something was off today.
Both of the workers I dealt with were very friendly and understanding, but then the owner decided to come over and berate me for DARING to want a refund for a very sub-par experience. I was told "Don't come back here, I have plenty of customers, I don't need ones like you. I'll remember your face." At this point, I gave him the thumbs up and told him "Don't worry, I'll make sure I don't"
To lose a customer over such a trivial matter is absurd to me, and not how you run a business. This is the perfect example of one of the reasons that corporations are so successful, in that they don't let petty squabbles get in the way of business. Heavnly has major potential as a donut shop, as their food and drinks have the potential to be the best I've ever had on occasion but more often than not, quality control is lacking and this is not the case.
With a more talented, less megalomaniacal owner, maybe this chain would be larger and more widspread than it is now. It is very sad to see so much wasted potential due to poor...
Read moreThe absolute worst place ive ever been too. The service was abhorrent. We stopped in to use the restroom and get something to eat. Before ordering my wife asked to use the restroom and was strictly informed that we needed to order something. After informing them that i was there to order they rolled their eyes and pointed in the direction of the bathroom(which was filthy) then i had to get my order in between their personal conversation and was treated like a second rate citizen the whole time. We were treated like we were a bother. There were no bagels or pastries and about 3 donuts to choose from. The coffee was cold and they had no oce coffee. On our way out they made an absolutely horrifying comment and accusation(jokingly im assuming) that i will not repeat here. After emailing the owner i got a half assed apology and an offer to be mailed coupons which never came. Im not the only one whos had similar experiences as multiple people have shared situations like this. Heavnly usually is a great place but this location should be SHUT DOWN...
