My husband and I ordered take out. This was the 2nd time getting food there. The first time was good (not great) but we live close thought we give it another try. The fried shrimp was mushy inside and my fried scallops still had that "tag" attached (the piece that holds them in their shell). So gross, who wants to be eating a scallop and get that chewy piece in their mouth?! My husband also found a piece of clam shell in his food. Anyway my husband brought it back and we explaining to the girl up front. The owner,I assume, or manager was in the back saying "there is nothing wrong with that shrimp" & do you know how many scallops we sell? what are we suppose to remove that from all of them? that is just normal. News flash it is not normal....what it is is LAZY. Too busy....LOL . I've had seafood more times than I can count...want to talk busy go to the ...Clam box, Woodmans, Kelly's at the beach,, Anywhere Cape Cod, Maine. Now those places are busy and never an issue with any food there. I don't know how this place gets so many good reviews. Not to mention who argues with...

Light batter on nugget-size chunks of fish, perfectly cooked, not a single soggy spot. Firm and flaky fish. French fries are nicely done, mostly crispy. Tartar sauce has a good flavor; it's a chunky type (as opposed to a finely blended type).
Lobster roll has more shredded lobster (so, not large lobster chunks) in a light mayo sauce. Very nice flavor and good texture, plenty to chew on. The bun is perfectly buttered and has a great flavor.
This spot is a gem, and easy to overlook from the outside. You'll see of locals in and out grabbing take-out and fresh fish...
Read moreOn of the best seafood places around! We got haddock plates that always fill us up.
Fried just right, too. It's a soft crunch that holds a nicely flaked fish inside.
The fries are sized between a shoestring and steak fry. You know, about 3/8" across. Crispy and meaty. Perfect with ketchup but I might try them English-style next time with vinegar.
The portions are ample but what I really like is that they don't skimp on cole slaw or tartar sauce. There's nothing worse than running out of tartar sauce. And you need a fair bit of it to cover the big piece of fish you get!
I go to their Merrimack St. location. It has that dockside vibe... complete with a deli case full of fresh seafood for cooking at home!
What more can...
