Usually i don't dedicate too much to writing reviews, especially negative ones, but when i am there it means something went really wrong and the experience was just too frustrating to ignore.
My friend and I drove two hours to get to this hookah spot, and it turned out to be a huge letdown. As soon as we got there, things went south. The hookah server was downright TERRIBLE, completely unaccommodating and rude.
This place uses what can be called (Incense charcoal) for their hookahs, not only it changes the flavor horribly, it also is one of the most toxic charcoals out there for hookah due to it's high content of chemicals that make it ignite faster, Despite the fact that we offered to pay extra for Regular coconut charcoal the Hookah server flat-out REFUSED to replace our charcoal claiming that is the only charcoal they got when the hookah supplier shop was right next door, literally next door and they were still open!!
I get that things can get busy, but the lack of effort on his part was unbelievable, especially that their hookah and drinks are not cheap.
On the positive side, our server (a curvy Latina girl) was a breath of fresh air — she was friendly and attentive, which helped a lot. The security guards outside were also nice and made us feel welcome, which I appreciated. But honestly, that wasn't enough to make up for the overall experience.
The only saving grace was that they did refund us the money for the hookah, which I’m thankful for. But after driving so far and dealing with that kind of service, and ending up with very toxic hookahs, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Definitely not...
Read moreFirst off, let’s understand that we’re Methuen and not Boston. Let’s start with the good: The music is immaculate. I’ve been to all the clubs in Boston, Miami, Las Vegas, and outside of the US. This place hold it down by far the best I’ve ever listened to. Genres from rap, Spanish, trap, etc. Throughout the entire night is was JUMPING!
Now let’s chat about why I would probably never go there again. They enforce a pretty weird dress code policy, their door guys/managers are really uptight and confrontational. No sense of professionalism or how to talk to paying patrons. We spent thousands of dollars there and they didn’t let us add the 2nd half of our group. Which arrived roughly 30-45 minutes after us. They said “last call” but guess what… we have a table. We have bottles and we don’t need anymore liquor. So I couldn’t understand why they couldn’t come in at 11:45-12. Even though we paid up and left our waitress a 35% tip.
I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here. Only way I would go is IF I’m in Methuen and it’s my last resort. Hookah...
Read moreFood is solid for a quick bite, ambience is nice if you’re into hiphop/r&b, hookahs a decent for the price. Service is spotty, bartenders a little overwhelmed for not that big of a crowd. The door, is becoming an issue, been there several times, I’ve seen happen this before, ownership begins acting like they’re doing me a favor by letting me in, remember, treat every customer and everyday as if it was the last dollar you needed to make your month. Talk to me like I’m gold, I’m paying your mortgage not the other way around. Last thing, reservation signs at bar seats is absurd, it’s the last option for someone checking your place out for the first time, you need need new business it’s the lifeline scaling, no respectable bar reserves bar seats,...
