Romano's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Methuen

I’m in Romano’s at least 4-5 times a week between work lunches and home as well as I live alone and don’t want to cook. This place is the best sub shop around. The pizza is true, Italian style hand tossed and is always delicious ! In house made chicken fingers and in house onion rings are ridiculously delicious !! Steak and cheese, teriyaki (steak or chicken ), roast beef, ect. ALL DELICIOUS and I can’t remember ever getting the wrong order. Great staff and always friendly with a smile. Did I mention the subs are on fresh Tripoli sub rolls. Oh yeah. Definitely my go to. I don’t have a bad word to say about any of them or the food. I’m not related to anyone and I couldn’t tell you who owns the place but they have it down. Go. You won’t be sorry. Give an extra 5-8 minutes when picking up because it’s a busy store. I usually go here for the grilled Chicken club on white because of it size and good taste. Set my order for pick up I was told 20 minutes and arrived exactly at that. Once I arrived to pick up my order they couldn’t find it on any of the computers they got to the fourth one and there it was under my name and they proceeded to make my club. Got it about ten minutes later(keep in mind I’m on my break) after I take my order and look at it. It went from their normal size white bread to the size of wonder bread. It really looked like they used wonder bread. I was so disappointed. Most of the time I eat half and save the half for later or share it but not this time. I don’t know if they changed owners or what. Smaller in size, fries were old, the meat was half of what they usually give. Let’s just say this was a kids...

My order got messed up literally 3 or4 times in a row and they just apologized. Once they forgot an item i had to go all the way back to get or. Another time i asked if they could please cook The pizza lightly that i didn't want it over cooked when i arrived, The girl said 2 well done pizzas right? 😞The last time i went the guy was cooking my chicken for salad and right above my chicken, was spraying cleaner to polish the stainless steel right above the grill. It was all misting down, below was my chicken on the grill, and even salad off to the side open. I mentioned it they just apologized was nervous eating it and then there was a bone in the grilled chicken 😞 i have been going here for years since the 90s i feel they don't really care they just apologize and don't care. Shame. I guess i am done...
