Sully's Billiards Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Metropolis

I work in Metropolis and so many people recommended Sully's I had to try it out! I wish I had pictures to post, but it is very much a local hangout, so I didn't want to make anyone uncomfortable with me taking photos. It's very laid back, but if you're not from Metropolis, they know..and they will look at you long and hard when you show up! Don't let that daunt you though, the bartender and servers are super friendly! I got the fried pickle chips, salad with ranch, and their chicken and dumplings daily special for my first visit. The salad was my favorite! They have the BEST ranch dressing. The pickle chips were a little too salty, I probably won't order them again. The chicken and dumplings reminded me of my mom's homemade chicken noodles! While the pickles were salty, the chicken and dumplings were lacking salt and pepper. Once you add some of that, they taste great! My next visit there, I had a cheeseburger and fries and the burger was hot and fresh and it was a lot of burger! I couldn't finish it, but I still ate more than I should have because it was so delicious! I can't wait to try more off the menu. I've heard the chuckwagon sandwich is amazing, and the chicken tenders are supposed to be really good too. If the locals eventually warm up to me, I'll add pictures...

This place is amazing. The new owners are great. Feels like I'm in an episode of cheers where "everybody knows your name" I never thought I'd spend so much time in the pool hall/bar ever! The people make the place and they have really brought another level of excitement to Metropolis! Tonight they've brought the first live music experience into their equation. I have lived in Metropolis for a long time & have never been here. We hear the food is great, so we go. Ive been to a lot of places. The two things this place has tht other 3 restaurants in Metro don't have. Pool tables & everyone seemed to know one another. Like Cheers(The TV show). Its was super friendly. The food was good. In a small town with hardly any real options....
