Twisty Donuts — Restaurant in Mexia

Hands down - the best donuts I have ever had - right next to Krispy Kreme (I lived half a mile from one of these for years, and yes, they are good - but when you compare what you pay for KK vs what Twisty’s charges you - there’s no comparison) They make their own croissants for their breakfast sandwiches & if you haven’t had one, you just don’t know what you are missing. Their glazed donuts are light and literally melt in your mouth. The chocolate covered donut holes have made me question my sanity and whether or not I’m diabetic…I’ve made myself sick off of them, they’re just so good. They’re also open early and stay open later than most donuts shops. The owners are the absolute sweetest people I’ve ever met - she was pregnant and I’m pretty sure she worked until the day she delivered the baby. I just hope that they keep growing and it’s only more success in their future - good people with successful businesses only help this little community to flourish. I ask that we all continue to...

These donuts were way better than expected. I just happen to be passing through and saw what look like a good donut place. I'm a bit of a donut connoisseur myself. My family has donuts at least every Saturday morning. These ones were light and soft and tasted like they just barely came out of the oven.
