We’ve been coming to KS since they opened and have always had a good experience! The blonde curly haired lady taking orders ruined that for us today. My previous review has always been 5 stars and I’m hesitant to change that over one experience but feel the owners had rather know than loose customers.
The wind is blowing about 50 mph but we still decided we had to have some Killer to make our trip complete and decided to deal with it. I requested the pick two combo with grilled shrimp and calamari. She snapped “I don’t do it like that, it’s pre-portioned. Calamari doesn’t come with combos!” Okay-maybe don’t list it on the sign under it but I just ignored it and said “Okay just let me have the grilled shrimp then.” My teenage daughter ordered next “I would like a hamburger with cheese plain please.” “Well that’s just a cheeseburger!” She snapped rudely! “We’ll yes ma’am but the sign only says hamburgers, but no condiments or veggies please.” Got our food through the winds and sand covered everything by the time we got to the table, obviously of no fault of theirs. Started eating and the burger has cheese but is DROWNING in ketchup, mustard, mayo, onions, pickles, shredded lettuce, and tomatoes. All the trays and baskets were flying everywhere and breaking. We picked them up and took them to the window and she acted like we were inconveniencing her for her to have to take them, when she literally was propped on the counter talking, by saving their supplies. She took them and said nothing and from behind the owner said “Thank you guys!” What a miserable woman. I can’t imagine living in paradise and still finding a way to be so rude. She isn’t good for...
Read moreFrom the moment we walked in the door, the service was horrible. The “hostess” was so nonexistent that we thought she was just another person waiting to be seated. When we finally figured out she worked there, I asked if there was a wait list. She looked at me and rolled her eyes, and never answered. She then walked behind the counter and got on her cell phone. Someone else asked me if there was a wait list, to which I responded “I asked and was ignored”. She then made some lame excuse as to why she didn’t answer me. Once we were finally seated, the waitress wasn’t any better. It was like we were bothering her by being there. She took our order, with zero personality and just walked away. She brought our drinks and then came back about 30 minutes later to ask if we needed anything. Ummmm duh! Our food! The best thing I can say is at least our food was piping hot when it finally made it to our table, even though two of our orders were wrong and the salads were brought at the same time as...
Read moreComing to Mexico Beach as our preferred family beach vacation, we have patronized Killer Seafood on every trip since their opening in the (Hurricane Michael destroyed) location in 2004. How many family and couple photos we have taken with the shark logo behind us?? We were thrilled the first time we came after the hurricane to find them set up with a food truck. They have continued to improve the setup, with windscreens and tables. It is a pet friendly location. I learned on this visit that the owners had a food ministry to the rescue workers post hurricane, recovered many, many of the old dollars stapled to the walls of the original building, and donated it all to the humane society. Well done! We love the grouper tacos, the scallop basket, and the hushpuppies with a hit of heat. The red snapper tacos this trip were simply melt in the mouth delicious. I can't say enough good things about the consistent deliciousness and commitment to the area. Thanks for being a MB...
