Came across this establishment by a family member referral. I've visited many pizzerias in my days and this one did not disappoint. My step son went with me because he's extremely picky about pizza and I wanted his thoughts as well. We walked in and were greeted quickly by a staff of four ladies. We placed our orders and were told it would be 10-15 minutes. Perfect! While we were waiting we met the owner/delivery driver and he seemed quite pleasant. We received our food and it was a nice day so we took advantage of their picnic tables outside. We ordered a medium supreme and a medium pepperoni. The crust was just right and the sauce had a little zip to it but it allowed the ingredients to speak for themselves. My step son was crushing some pizza so that told me everything I needed to know from him. What I liked was the presentation and ingredients. Usually you open a pizza box and are greeted with that grease that goes through one or two layers of cardboard; Not here. Pleasantly surprised by our experience and we will return when we are in the area.

My brother ordered a hoagie then they came out and said they were out of the meat so he had to change his order 2 times which was fine he got his order for free. So I ordered the boneless buffalo wings. They taste like they are freezer burnt and doesn't have buffalo on them pretty disappointed with the quality of food I could have bought a bag of chicken strips from Kroger and had the same thing for half the price. I wont be back

The staff here is very friendly. They had our order ready in no time even though they were very busy (game day). The food was fresh, hot, and DELICIOUS! Their crust is uniquely made and absolutely awesome! plan to order from Maka Mia for all our future game day gatherings!

Ordered 1 large pizza & was advised it would be ready in 15 to 20 mins. Arrived there 20 mins later and was told it would be a few mins still. While waiting, this poor lady was obviously very busy trying to do multiple things at once without any help. Meanwhile the owner was just kind of walking around very slowly and not doing much at all, seemed more confused than anything.

After waiting an additional 15 mins plus, my order was finally ready. Turns out they thought I had ordered chicken alfredo pasta in addition to the pizza, something I would never order from any pizza joint. My pizza was actually ready the whole time and it was the pasta that caused the delay.

Guess who had taken my order over the phone, the owner. I just stared at him while the lady rung me out and he advised her he would eat the chicken alfredo.

After all this, there was no apology and I was still charged for the pizza, which of course was not hot by the time I got home.

In response to the owner's comments. I actually drove from the Miami Water Water Complex after my daughter finished up soccer practice. Due to traffic and innnitially going tje wrong way, it took me 20 mins to arrive, not 10 mins as you suggested.

Also, accusing me of essentially lying by saying I ordered the chicken alfredo was a big mistake. First, I dont even like alfredo. Second, I never order any kind of pasta dishes from pizza places, ever! If I want pasta, I go to an Italian restaurant.

Looking at other negative reviews, this owner has a tendency to argue with those that leave bad reviews. He is obviously a jerk.

Coming from one who has years of experience in the restaurant business from when I was younger, it is typically a good idea to avoid places in which the owner constantly argues with it's customers.

My experience was unfortunate because the food here is pretty good for a fast food pizza joint. The youngsters that typically work on Fri evenings (ordered a few times in the past) are always really polite, nice, and hard working. The owner could learn...

Changing my 5 star to a 1 star Came here yesterday - received soggy/cold/undercooked fries. I don't like calling and complaining, so I took them home and cooked them myself. (Which is what they would have done - cooked them - so I figured why ask them to cook them, if I can do the same thing at home - as I wanted to eat my pizza while it was still hot) I was unhappy with this situation and asked my fiance to leave a review for me - he did so and has since been berated and argued with by the employees-they looked him up on Facebook and messaged him on there (very unprofessional) and are saying he is a liar and tarnishing their business (they keep saying he went to a different location and are adamant that the fries were hot and fresh) we went to the Maka Mia in cleves across the street from Merrilees Hardware and attached to the laundromat and my fries were far from hot or fresh. I have never had a company/business reach out in such an unprofessional manner. The older man is a sweetheart tho.

An edit/response - I'm a fatty and went to eat a fry literally as soon as I got into the car. They were soggy as soon as I got into my car and got my food. I live 1 minute from Maka Mia - they couldn't GET cold they were ALREADY cold. I leave bad reviews when bad reviews are necessary. The worker Katie has reached out and berating us on Facebook messenger.

And since when is leaving a bad review...
