Review:

I went to The Overconfident Chef with high hopes, but I was sorely disappointed. The chef clearly wasn't properly trained, as the food was bland and uninspired. The portions were also tiny, and I was left feeling hungry after my meal.

The wine list was even worse. The only wine that was available was a $50 bottle of Franzia, and the waiter tried to convince me that it was a "great value." The waiter actually told me that the Franzia was "award-winning." I'm not sure what award it won, but I'm guessing it wasn't the Nobel Prize for Winemaking.

The only thing that saved this restaurant from being a complete disaster was the ambiance. The dining room was dark and intimate, and the service was attentive.
