Simpson Rockland Hammock Preserve Park — Attraction in Miami

I decided to visit this park because it was within walking distance down the street from my hotel in the Brickell neighborhood of Miami. It's a great natural oasis from the hustle and bustle of the urban sprawl. Yes, you can still hear jack hammers, car horns, and the Brickell station metrorail in the background, but this is a great place to relax, read a book next to the koi pond that's located in the park. Serene park hidden in the corner of South Miami Avenue and 15th Rd (Str) in Brickell (Miami FL.) Nice trail along a native tree hammock with a mild canopy. There is also a cute artificial lake hosting a variety of Koi fish and small turtles. The reception area sits in what appears a former house - very quaint with a variety of plants and comfortable sitting areas in and out the building. For a place so obsessed with no one straying off the one route you’re allowed to walk on, you’d think they wouldn’t leave the back door open.
