I do not recommend this hotel. The suite was OK, but the hotel appears old and there is not a friendly homey atmosphere. We stayed two night at this Hilton.. The room was comfortable but unattractive and not designed well. The hot breakfasts were OK, but not great. The staff were OK but not overly friendly. My issues with this Hotel are: It is not located in a convenient location for going out and seeing the city. No restaurants etc within walking distance. The hotel entrance is thru the garage..My, My. Ugly. We checked out about 8:30 AM at the front desk because the checkout out of my hotel app would not work. I did not receive an invoice as it was to be emailed to me, That was fine. Except,, when I go home that night I looked at my visa account and saw the charges were way more that I owed and made no sense. i checked the invoice in my email and it was correct but had no semblance to the charges on my card. I immediately called the front desk of the hotel and was asked to email photos of my vise charges etc, which I immediately did. It appeared that someone else's room and miscellaneous charges were billed to my Visa card. Fortunately the next morning I checked my and account and saw that those erroneous charges had been removed and the correct charges were added. I'm thankful for that. I never receive any follow up email or any type of apology or correspondence from the hotel. That made me angry. When we checked out of the hotel my car was brought down to the garage and we immediately loaded up and departed. I did give the attendant a suitable tip. Several hours after departing I received a text message telling me that my car is still waiting for me and I had 10 minutes to get it or it would be put back into the garage. Huh?? I responded to the text with a question about what they were talking about, that I had my car for several hours. I never heard back from anyone,. I also reported this issue to person I spoke to on the phone in the beginning. So, Obviously I will never stay in that hotel again nor will I recommend it. In the last 4 months my spouse and I have stayed in Hilton hotels at the double tree in Santa Rosa Cali (5 nights), the AirPort Hilton inn San Francisco (1 night) the Embassy Suites a Ft Walton Beach Fl (2 nights) the Hilton Paradise in Las Vegas (5 nights) and this Hilton in Miami Fl (2 nights). We were refused Hilton honor points at two of the stays because we booked them thru out bank USAA Federal Savings bank because of Hiltons 3rd party policy which we were not aware of. We are now debating if we will continue to use Hilton Hotels in view of this last major problem and not receiving points under their honors program. We have paid a minimum of approximately. $250.00 per night for each of our stays. These hotels are above average price and I expect above average service and accommodations. I suggest anyone considering hotels points program read the fine...

Our stay at Homewood suites was pretty good. The location was in the center of everything by we wanted to do. The room was nice enough and functional for us. I'm 6'4 and the beds were comfortable. Room has a nice view of the city. The parking attendants were great; very nice. Despite the daily parking charge, we still tipped them because they were so helpful. Most of them do not speak English but Google translate fixed that challenge really quick. If you decide to stay here, there are a few tips I wish the front desk would have shared.

1.The cook top doesn't automatically work. Look for the safety timer switch on the wall, it's built in to keep guest from forgetting to turn off the cook top. We found this out 3 days in and after buying a few things to cook in the room. Because we found this out so late in the week, we have any unused items to the parking attendants versus leaving it for housekeeping to throw away.

The ice maker in the room is a bit loud when it is making ice. During our first night, we both woke up because we thought someone was knocking on the door at 3 in the morning. Nope... it was the ice maker!

Learn what the light switches on each wall control... one controls all of the power for the room and we found this out after turning off the TV and A/C several times. Maintenance confirmed this after we notified the front desk of the warmth in the room.

Download the Hilton Honors app, very cool to not worry about a room key. Especially when most people have their phones in their hands all the time.

This location has FREE self service laundry, which we used 3 times during the week.

Breakfast provided. It's not great but it's not bad either.

Location has a small market to get some quick essential items if you don't feel like going back out.

BIG PLUS - THIS LOCATION HAS AN AMAZON LOCKER/HUB On SITE!!!!!

Gas stations, grocery stores, dining options and even pharmacies are all within quick walking distance or a very short drive.

Friendly staff all the way around. Just waiting for our room deposit refund and we'll leave this review at 5 stars.

We will definitely consider this location AND #HomewoodSuites again! #Brickell...

I’ll start with the good things:

Friendly staff, from front desk receptionists to cleaning staff

Free breakfast every morning - simple (same menu with little variations) but convenient, especially on days when you don’t feel like going out for breakfast

Nice amenities, including gym, pool, and laundry - all free for guests!

Now the problems:

AC leakage - we had to switch rooms because the AC leaked so much that it drenched the carpet. When we informed management about the leakage, they were not surprised at all and seemed like they were waiting for us to tell them. My guess is that the issue is not new and might be happening to other rooms too. They offered us the option to change rooms and sent maintenance to blow dry the carpet when we were moving rooms. I’m not sure what happened afterwards or if they addressed the root problem with the leakage; I hope they will if they didn’t.

Low water pressure - bathroom taps in both rooms I stayed in had poor water pressure and unfortunately water pressure was bad all around (kitchen & bathroom taps + shower) in my second room.

No hot shower - at its highest temperature, the shower was only lukewarm. We flagged this to the management multiple times and while there were attempts to check on the boilers, we never learned of any actions being taken and the issue remained until the end of our stay.

Pest issues - cockroach spotted in one of the kitchen cabinets in my second room.

Unstable internet - internet disconnected randomly from time to time and while it was not detrimental, it was certainly disruptive and inconvenient, especially when working on laptop.

As much as the staff are willing to help, there’s only so much they can provide to make up for the shortfalls of the building and infrastructure. I hope that the management will fundamentally resolve the problem areas mentioned, especially water issues, and keep up with...

I'm a loyal Hilton traveler. I've worked for Hilton (Embassy Suites) and continue to patronize Hilton properties, but this is probably THE WORST that I've stayed in. Hilton and Homewood Suites should really reconsider having this property in their portfolio. It's in total disrepair. Rooms weren't cleaned well; beds made messily, ceiling fan blades had thick dust indicating that they hadn't been cleaned in months, light switches didn't work properly, and tables and chairs were in need of repairs or replacement. There was no hot water in our room. We were given an additional room to shower in, but even though there was hot water in that room, it made a horrendous noise when we turned the shower on. There was only 1 washcloth in either room, there were 3 people in our party. The ice maker wasn't working in either room or the main ice machine. In the 1st room, the refrigerator never got cold or made ice. In the 2nd room, the ice maker came on, but when I stuck my hand in the bin to get ice, it was just a bin full of water! By the next morning, it was frozen, but it was just a block of ice... still no ice that I could use. I spoke with the front desk agent upon check-out and he clearly had no concern about my complaints. He handed me a business card for the manager and sent me on my way. I'm not sure what happened to Hilton/Homewood Suites 100% Guarantee, but the only guarantee that I got from this hotel was a miserable night! I'm glad we were there for only 1 night; there are so many hotels in the Downtown Miami area, DON'T STAY HERE!!!
