China Express — Restaurant in Miami

The food was 4-5 stars. Visiting from out of town. I order Chinese at home routinely, and even my three year-old commented how good the food was. Delivery was timely. I am giving the establishment 3 stars as a median only because I am upset with delivery and would only rate them 1-2 stars. I am a mom traveling with children in tow. When I ordered online through EAT 24, I entered my address and in the comments bar I noted that I was staying at the Sheraton by the airport and listed my room number. The delivery person stopped by the front desk and refused to bring my food upstairs. In my 35 years of traveling, I have never had anyone refuse to bring my order to the room. And, on top of it all, when placing the order the tip is paid up front. I tipped generously. If I had written in the tip upon signing the receipt, believe me, I would not have tipped so nicely. So you know, there was no warning to this up front. If I wanted to disrupt the evening and drag my children out of the room, I may as well have gone out to eat and not ordered delivery that I would have to meet someone in the lobby to obtain. Everyone must try this place. This is by far the best Chinese food I have had in Miami. I’m a university student and they kept their doors open for me when I got out of class late. Beyond grateful that they did this for me. I would even prefer their food over my local Chinese place in New York.

I got the sesame chicken dinner special. There is so much value for $10. You get chicken, fried rice, an egg roll and a choice of soup. The chicken was so tender and the sauce was tasty. The pork fried rice is everything you’d expect and more. However the true star is the egg roll. I was so impressed at how good it was. I broke into it 45 minutes after pick up, I’m a slow eater, and it was still crispy. The filling was a little sweet, salty, and crunchy from the cabbage.
