I recently had the pleasure of dining at Aromas del Peru during a weekend trip to Miami. As someone with Peruvian roots, I’m always on the lookout for authentic flavors that bring back memories of home. Aromas del Peru did not disappoint—it was just an 8-minute drive from the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Miami Airport . The atmosphere was warm, clean, and welcoming, with a friendly hostess who seated my party of six. They started us off with freshly served canchita, warm and perfectly crisp, followed by a delicious complimentary lentil soup that kept us satisfied while we waited for our main dishes.
When our food arrived, the presentation was beautiful and, more importantly, the flavors were rich and authentic. I ordered “seco de cabrito”, which was absolutely incredible. The white beans tasted as though they’d been cooked in a traditional clay pot—just like in Peru. The “chicha morada” was wonderfully refreshing, with a bright twist of lime that balanced the sweetness.
The experience was so memorable that I returned the next day with more friends. This time, I had the lomo saltado, which was vibrant and glossy, impressing flavors.
A special shoutout to the team, especially supervisor Higor, as well as Lorena and Ylianet, who were all incredibly cordial, attentive, and made us feel at home. The entire staff, both front and back of house, did an amazing job. Aromas del Peru truly embodies the spirit of Peruvian cuisine, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable taste of...
Read moreGreat place for amazing authentic Peruvian food. We catered the food so we didn’t get the whole experience. I’ve been here before and the staff was really nice. I believe that you get a much better experience in the restaurant but the food quality was the same. To start off we got calamari and fried fish. They were good and the breading was flaky and nice. The sauce that it came with was not the best but still not bad. Then we got the ceviche which is the best I’ve had and is always delicious. We got the one that brings 3 which is the best choice because you get to taste all of the flavors that come with it. Every item you order comes with a side of dried corn with a spicy green sauce. These are honestly so addicting and are great for snacking. Then we got the pesto pasta which was really good and tasted like home made pesto. Then we got the pasta a la huancaina which is like a yellow sauce that taste nice and garlicky. With the pasta it brings a side of meat which I chose the churrasco because it’s nice thin and pairs wonderfully with the sauce. I got my steak cooked until medium because it always taste much better like that. Overall the food was done pretty quick and good, although the prices have gone up since the last time I went I would say it’s totally...
Read moreLet me start this review by stating: I am peruvian! So I know peruvian food. I ordered a lomo. The quality of meat used for the lomo was not the best very tough and cut too big and overcooked. The garnish of this dish is also cut incorrectly and unedible. This meat is supposed to be served tender bite-sized pieces and sautéed with slices of fresh tomatoes and purple onion. Tossed ever so lightly in a wok. What I received was hard, tough overcooked meat if it looked like someone got a huge old tomatoe and cut it in 4 huge chunks and threw it in the wok. It was a poor attempt of what's supposed to be a colorful, vibrant presentation. The chef needs a refresher and actually cares about the presentation of the dish. In my opinion, baby tomatoes should be sliced and be fresh and the meat should be cut correctly to help the quality defeset or offer an upgrade to customers for better options. Disappointing. Also, the waitress wanting to charge extra for additional hotsauce is ridiculous. Overall disappointed in my own people. We could...
