WORST Customer Service EVER!!! they don't even deserve one star. I went with my family ( party of12) to celebrate my birthday this past weekend. First time there and last. We waited an hour or more to have our orders taken. No one welcomed us or even took our beverages order. Waitress was with a long face, and didn't seem to want to serve us at all. She had this attitude like she hated everyone. She passed the drinks or food over your shoulder without even saying excuse me. Very rude and unpleasant. I ordered a sangria for my mom and it took over an hour to bring it and that is because I kept asking the waitress for it. Some of us ordered paella which took 40 min or more to be served, and it was okay, I think it said it on the menu, the bad part was that they brought the paella for a few of us who ordered it and the rest of us had no food. We didn't eat at the same time. If you go in a group all should be served at the same time, that is why you go in a group to enjoy together. They billed us incorrectly for a couple of items (double). They charged all these ridiculous fees, I don't mind, the show fee but a credit card fee and service fee?? Shouldn't be forced, specially with such a bad service. That is why she was so bad, she knows she will still get her tip either way. Some of my family members had stomach pains the following day. They sang happy birthday to me and brought me a small bowl with only whipped cream, not even a muffin, small desert or cake in it, so much money we spent there and they were so cheap to bring only whipped cream with a candle!!! WOW Also, bathroom was dirty, no one checked on it to make sure it was clean. It had water or pee all over the floor. The only good thing was the show, the lady was amazing!! Great show, but the rest was awful. WE WILL...
Read moreI want to begin by saying, my husband & I went to this restaurant for a quiet lunch. What we didn't expect was to be charged a "Service Charge" on our bill when there was no entertainment other than recorded Spanish Music over the sound system. We didnt leave an additional tip because my husband physically went to the bar to get a refill of his beer. The wait staff was more focused on preparing the stage for tonight's entertainment then attending the 3 tables of patron's having lunch😡
Additionally, this restaurant incentivizes you to pay your bill in cash. If you don't have cash, you are able to use your personal credit card but they will charge you a "Non Cash Adjustment" fee on your bill. This merchant is charging patrons for their Credit Card Processing Fees Upfront🤬 These fees are considered internal costs for running a business and it's based purely on the volume of transactions as a flat rate. Since the calculation on the receipt is based on a percentage of the bill, that translates to Profiting on every Credit Card Charge which I find to be very unfair & scrupulous business practices. Especially when this restaurant is charging Market Price for Lobster Paella.
Lastly, the food was served hot & the Seafood was freshly prepared but lacked the Safron flavors I'm accustomed to in authentic Spanish Cuisine. The Grilled Octopus was quite delicious and that is why I gave this restaurant two stars🌟
I don't recommend this restaurant unless you want to be charged for a mediocre meal in addition to $30++ in processing & service fees. Instead, go to Old Lisbon Restaurant for authentic Portuguese/Spanish Cuisine located on the corner of 17th Avenue and Coral Way. The service is excellent, the food is outstanding, and there are no hidden fees; just deliciously...
Read moreSee Posted Receipt included in photos. So many wrongs I don't know where to start but I will try... Walked in, semi empty place, with 2 tables of about 6 and another couple of tables with couples. Very empty but very loud because of the live music. Waited a few minutes and sat ourselves. No host. No cover charge sign we noticed. Ordered a pitcher of Sangria and two orders of the "salmon with shrimp". Upon tasting the sangria, i noticed the wine was rancid. Upon complain, waitress brought me a sip of the wine "they used" to make it. The problem was not the wine but the bottle used to make our sangria, which had been opened for long time that made it bad. No matter how much I explained, I was never given the option to talk to a manager or have someone taste it to prove it. Oh well... Food came and...another "Oh well". Campbell cream of mushroom soup on top of 2 small shrimp and a piece of fish...(Not even sure it was salmon, it tasted more like cod to tell the truth), I had to dig to find the two shrimp and noticed, upon biting, their tails were on! We asked water to suppress the rancid taste of wine and, very matter of fact, waitress brings a bottle (to charge of course) They need "items" to rack up the bill, right? Augh..!!!. Then the bill. See for yourself how a $75 Bill (remember 2 salmons one pitcher of Sangria?) turned into $135. Cover charge $20 (remember, no host, no sign), water, gratuity, and the cherry on top; "a credit card charge adjustment" I had not seen since the late 80's or around... Be aware. This is the best definition of rip off I have found in Miami lately. I do not see much of a future for a place like this which savagely charges customers but thankfully, there are plenty of other options in the city which value their clientele....
