George's Place West — Restaurant in Middle Township

We love George’s and before this location we frequently made trips to the Court House location for lunch. But after ordering from this location over a dozen times now, I can say that it just isn’t holding up to the quantity and standards we’ve experienced at other locations. George’s usually gives you generous portions but in our experience this location seems to be skimping. And the quality is just not the same, especially in take out! We have had salads that were more like a soaking wet garnish. Some orders with only six French fries. Undercooked mushy pitas. But last night, we ordered takeout and after they charged us a premium of $3 per entree for ordering from the lunch menu during dinner hours, they gave us some of the worst quality we have ever had from a George’s. In addition to overcooked fries, we got a Greek wrap that had so much tzatziki on an undercooked pita that it was mushy and had to be scraped off. Then a nearly raw pita that was so soaking wet that it was disintegrated. Inside, there was maybe a tablespoon of onions and tomatoes with three strips of peppers! If I could leave less stars I would; we've been ordering from George's Place every weekend for breakfast. Every time we've ordered the food has been great. HOWEVER-it seems that the quality control, customer service and communication has gone downhill drastically. This weekend and last week end were the straws that broke the camels back.

Last weekend I ordered a large breakfast order, I asked for cheddar cheese on a sandwich (as I usually do) and instead I was given orange American cheese (looked like a craft single, the cheese wasn't melted) but I didn't say anything because I realize cheddar and orange American look kind of similar and it seemed like a new person taking orders.

This week-again I ordered a pretty large breakfast order; when I asked for cheddar cheese I was told they don't have cheddar cheese; okay fine. Then I asked for hollandaise on a wrap as well as ordering an eggs Benedict. NO HOLLANDAISE none at all no hollandaise on the wrap or the Benedict.

We called to inform the staff that there was no hollandaise and were immediately accused of being liars. We won't be back, no more George's Place for us. Stay away unless you like being insulted with...

I ordered a turkey and brie cheese toasted sandwich. Brie cheese nicely melted, but tomato slice served without the core removed ? Two slices of Greek turkey, which suspiciously looked like ham, maybe an eight of an inch thick. Topped with bacon, and greens with dressing, but little meat which provides a savory and satisfying mouth feel that leaves one's soul satiated. Humans are carnivores. We crave meat, red fleshed meat. If I wanted hummus and pita, I would have ordered that. No turkey flavor, no meat flavor, where's the beef as Clara peller would exclaim! Sandwich was under whelming on today's visit.
