UPDATE: Our last visit being our 9th or 10th visit! Kitchen staff issues, especially the head Cheff! Not a single item ordered was served at proper temperature, jumbo pretzel was ice cold, the beer cheese served solid not melted or soft, the burger ordered Mid-Rare, served at 3 temperatures (which I Must say was impressive in of itself) 1 area of burger Cold and LITTERALLY bleeding, next part was mid-rare, and the last section almost well done and hard. Drinks were not properly mixed, and the Manager was condescending and smug trying to say they had a rough day with staff quitting or some other complaint! (Honestly not my problem) He never even offered to discount anything to try to make it right! The table behind us also had to send food back, and it came back out incorrect, as well as two other tables around us having issues with their food! Our Waitress was the only decent part of our visit! Obviously they have lost the desire to serve the public with a good quality product! Strongly suggest you find an alternative Restaurant to visit! You have lost our business and we will not be back! Nor will we recommend you any longer! Only 1 Visit so far, and as a whole, the experience was very good. Only a few minor miss-steps. Very minor, and easily resolved. I had the Fried Green Tomato stacker! Sooooo good, and the Chicken Parm over Linguine was Spectacular and perfectly prepared, from temperature to appeal, and the Flavor! Wow just WOW! A must have. 👌

This is Brick oven pizza. Yes, I did see it go into the brick oven pizza, however it did not have the qualities of a brick oven pizza. The crust was extremely thick, so the edge got crispy but the dough was blonde and flabby (slightly undercooked in my opinion). I appreciated the amount of veggies, but they were extremely plain. They added nothing positive to the taste. The sauce tasted like uncooked jarred sauce. The amount of sauce was perfect. This is a cheesy pizza, expect a thick blanket of clump cheese. I wanted to love it, but it wasn’t good. UPDATE: I must give this place another star because the ONION RINGS & the MEMPHIS HOT CHICKEN SANDWICH were both amazing. The onion ring coating is crispy and flavorful housing for the tender onion inside. I love them because when you bite them the onion is soft enough that it doesn’t pull completely out of the coating. The chicken on the sandwich was breaded and fried to perfection - thin and crispy. The hot honey, is way more hot sauce than honey, so approach with caution (waitress gave me the pro tip of putting it on the side with ranch. The combo was fantastic. I loved this sandwich and appreciate that it’s simple and done very well.

New favorite for my family! We were heading to the Cape May Zoo today and wanted a good lunch first. Never heard of this place before, but we were so happy to find South 9 Bar and Grille. Clean, very nice looking restaurant, very family friendly. Large bar on one side with a beautiful 1926 Harley on display, restaurant tables on the other side with a really nice full wall fireplace. Creative menu choices you won't find many other places (MUST try the Pork Belly Sandwich, it's AMAZING!), great apps like fried green tomatoes with fresh mozzarella and balsamic glaze, and really good cocktails. Service was great, and the prices affordable. My 11 year old son who is super picky Loved the burger and fries he had, (you can even order blue cheese crumbles on your burger if you want), my wife loved her clam chowder and Buffalo cauliflower bites. Definately a new favorite lunch spot for my family, and we can't wait to try the dinners here too!

RUDE SERVER DAVID!!! We unfortunately had David as our server. As someone who has worked as a waitress, hostess, buster, you name it, for the past 10 years, I was very disappointed to not receive the same kindness/manners I give out to my customers. He first started out very fast and efficient. I am not a picky eater and I NEVER send food back, however, my pasta was WAY too spicy. It seemed like a whole jar of red pepper flakes was just thrown into the dish. After trying to tough it out, I could barely finish 4 bites and I had to send it back and order something else, despite how nervous I was to do so. When we got our bill, the almost $30.00 pasta was still included. We politely asked David for that to be taken off since I could barely eat any of it and 95% of the plate had been sent back. He rudely replied , “but you ate all the chicken?”, which I replied “the two pieces I had?” I was astonished to hear that since I could barely even eat the 4 bites previously. If two small, child size bites is “all of the chicken” that comes with that dish… then I definitely recommend saving your money. Ridiculous and comedic!! When he came back he had taken off the pasta and brought a revised check. He decided to add 20% gratuity to our new check since he knew he forfeited a large tip with his attitude. That seemed very conniving and spiteful, as well his tone with letting us know. At my restaurant I worked at, we are REQUIRED to let a large party know we are adding on gratuity BEFORE service starts. It was very obvious why he added that on since he knew his attitude was atrocious. If you can’t handle easily fixable situations like that in a restaurant, maybe that isn’t the right job for you. I know how stressful food service jobs are and I would never want to add on to a stressful situation. But considering how kind, mannerly, and patient we were, this was a really disappointing experience. I will not be going back and I WILL be warning all of my family and friends to stay clear of this establishment. I will be giving the manger a call tomorrow and I hope they would not condone service like this. Very...

Very nicely set up. Kind of pricey for a Bar and Grill (as they are named) not a restaurant... Greeting very much to be desired. Wether too busy or inexperienced, hostess did not make us feel welcomed, at all. This was our 2nd attempt (Same hostess). 1st time was on a Sat, 2 weeks ago at 6:30 pm...we were told we had a 45 min wait. For 2 people? Not even an option of maybe 20 mins or so for bar seating? 2 people. Really? No, just go somewhere else (that's what we felt like). Wow! We still decided to give it another chance, we wanted to try the place out. Greeting was very cold, to put it nicely (I did mention it was the same hostess, right?). We weren't even told how long we were waiting for. Pretty much just "hang in there", maybe we'll do you the favor of seating you (This time around, 7:30 pm on a Saturday, plenty of tables available and ready, as far as we could see). After a few mins of just "hanging" there, and after a few "phone calls" made by the hostess (To whom? The owner? Other guests that we didn't see anywhere ahead of us?), we were told to follow the lady that was going to seat us (Not the hostess, though, an actual nice person). After that, everything was good, food, service, timing, etc. Still believe price is on the high side for a Bar & Grill, off shore with (hopefully) year round service. Would I recommend it? Not too sure. Maybe I'll give it another try, although prices are not going to go down. But then again, there's only one time, to make a first...
