I have been going to Middleton sunrise cafe off and on for several years and I wish the dining experience was even half as good as the food. Over the years I have watched and listened to the way the manager talks to her staff and it is very disrespectful and belittling. It seems to have gotten worse over time and quite frankly, the way she was speaking to the minors last weekend made me sick. She talks down to all of her staff and makes demands of them. It’s borderline abusive the way she talks to them. She’s also very lazy and a horrible role model to those kids and her employees. I’ve watched as she takes over the majority of the restaurant and she just takes orders and visits with her regulars while she has everyone else do her work for her. Between her mouth and hoarding all the tables, it’s a wonder the other servers continue working for her. I can’t imagine them making much money with as few tables they are so graciously given. Her voice is so loud that sometimes it’s overwhelming and hard to engage in our own conversation. From the sound of it, she gossips and talks badly about everyone, especially the owner. I’ve overheard her say she’s eventually buying the place because she can operate it better than the current owner. I’ve also heard her say some pretty disturbing things in regard to his health or that he needs to go back to Puerto Rico or something like that so she can take back the reins. Not sure why she thinks it’s okay to slander her boss to their customers but it’s immature and tacky. I will not be going back for quite a long time and when I do decide to go back I hope she’s no longer there or some big changes...

This saddens me! I have been going to the Middleton location for years for breakfast. I'm hoping this is a one-off, but I don't think so. My wife and I came in early so we wouldn't have to beat the crowd. I would say this place was less than half full. It took almost 10 minutes just to get coffee and orange juice. The orange juice was very bitter. We asked if they had some fresh juice and mentioned the problem. She came back with the same tasting juice just for one, not two after another 10 minute wait. After being there 45 minutes with no coffee refill, a young lady asked if we were ready to order. We stated yes and ordered. My wife ordered eggs (over medium), bacon (crispy), hashbrowns, and a pancake. I ordered the Big Biscuit Breakfast (over medium). First, there are many ways to cook an egg. Over easy should be just that with a chance of the yolk and white a little runny. Over medium would be no runny white but slightly runny yolk. Over hard means nothing is runny. Both our eggs were less than over easy, very runny. Bacon was literally raw (not even warm). Pancake was like rubber. Biscuit and gravy were warm, not hot. The lady came by after we had our meal for about 20 minutes. Asked how everything was, she could see we did eat barely anything. We told her about our issues, she just said ok and walked away. As prices go up, service is going down and food quality is taking a big hit. I know you...

We usually like to go to the Caldwell sunrise, but we were in Middleton and stopped there. First we didn't know whether to seat ourselves or not. Found 1 table with enough chairs and big enough for more than 4 people. One person brought us our menus and drinks but No kids menu given to use for our 9 year old daughter. We sat for a while with our drinks, even got refilled by another person before waitress came to take our order. Some of the food came out. 2 people's full meals, 2 people's half meals, and none of my meal. Half way through them eating the rest of 1 meal came out. Everyone was done eating before my meal and pancakes for another meal came out. I asked for a manager and she said it was because my chicken takes longer to cook. Well excuse me but it doesn't take 30 minutes to cook chicken and tots. Then there was no bacon on the chicken sandwich. I couldn't take it. I left and my husband had to finish paying. He said she took my meal off but nope we paid for a meal I didn't get to eat because they didn't bring it out with everyone else's. The waitress asked if we needed anything else right after she set the food on the table but never came back to check. This was the worst place to go to eat! Too bad the Middleton one is so awfully ran. It gives all of...

Was passing through, looked up places with "corned beef hash," and this one looked best. Alas, the menu in the pics is no longer the menu you get. No hash 😭. I had the "Basque Scramble" because it sounded like it might have some veggies. I got a stodgy mass of old-tasting chorizo entombed in a concretion of eggs and cheap cheese. Hash browns were barely cooked. Rye toast was curly...which was weird... and it was a wee little slice. I ate it all because I was starvin' marvin, but I sure don't recommend this joint! I hate to say it, but you're better off at a Denny's.

This was our 1st time at this Middleton location. Everyone was VERY friendly. We were treated with small town hospitality. I really enjoyed this. Even the customers were super friendly. An older gentleman who was a customer, passed out candy canes to every child in the restaurant. ❤🤍❤ It made mu Grandchilds day! This Cafe offers everything from breakfast to Pork chops. There is something for everyone I highly suggest The Sunrise Cafe in Middleton. ♡

Love it. Always feels like coming home. Everything is genuine. Just good country comfort food! Plain and simple. I get the bargain breakfast with country potatoes extra crispy (takes a little longer because hash browns are a bish to cook but well worth the wait if you like soft potatoes mixed with potatoe chip type ones), bacon strips, and French toast. French toast was perfection! Best part is the whipped butter😋
