Tacos El Rancho — Restaurant in Middleton

Edit: ate here for the first time in a while and was kind of put off that they charge to put pico de gallo on your tacos now . I didn't want a huge side order, just pico on my tacos. The food was ok but not great for the price. This is the first restaurant I have ever eaten at that charged for normal toppings on a taco.. not sure if its new management, but the food was very dry and just not good for the price increase. Probably won't eat here again, there are 3 more Mexican restaurants in town that honestly have better food and service. The cashier didn't listen while we were ordering and seemed bored and checked out..at least our waitress was nice (she was the only good experience) sad because my last time eating here was a great experience.

We are always trying new places, looking for our favorite taco shop. Sadly, we were not impressed. The carnitas tacos were fine but I'm looking for a good taco that is regular sized (not a street taco) and has a fried corn tortilla. The beans tasted good but were a bit too runny. There was too much rice in the burrito. I don't mind a little rice but not so much that you can't taste the rest of the ingredients. The horchata tasted like it was from a packet. We were hoping to get out of the heat but it was warm in the dining room. The best part was that there was a Gold Cup soccer game on, Mexico VS Costa Rica. That was fun! This isn't about the food I like coming here but will possibly have to start going somewhere else the Cashier is rude I went twice this past month spending 60 plus dollars each time. But the thought of dealing with her makes me not want to return. When she asks for signature she turns around and doesn't provide a pen. She makes you ask for it just to then roll her eyes. For someone to be rude they don't necessarily have to say anything rude but their presence alone is enough. We also ordered 3 tostadas de ceviche and were only given 2. We don't want to drive back.
